Hi, I have been able to build R-2.9.2 on AIX 6.1 and AIX 5.2. However, I failed to build R-2.10.0 and later releases on these AIX platforms. Dear R-help, I deleted `methods' from the list of packages in Makeconf.in and was able to get through the compilation. However, `make check' fails, and R seems to have trouble loading share libs. When starting R, it complained about not finding the X libs and quits. If I specify --gui=none, then it starts but complains about not being able to load the shared lib for `ctest'.
