DHCP server failover: advise is needed
Dear Experts, I was running ISC DHCP server for longer than I would care to remember. Now I decided to climb out of the cave and configure failover set (primary-secondary), and I seem to hit brick wall, which I need help with. I only need IP v4, no v6, which may simplify things. Could someone point to a description of working DHCP failover configuration? I do not want to make two independent

CPAN not working, or is it?
(I've just tried this on a second C7 box, literally clean install, only did it on Friday, with the same results) I'm replacing a dead F19 box with a new C7 one and I'm trying to get my Perl install completed. Ultimately, I need to get Selenium::Remote::Driver working, but I'm struggling before that. I started off as always by using RPM's for everything I possibly can. I

two cents or not two cents
Hello Producers "Longevity of Support" is an attractive drawcard for CentOS if it means the exact opposite of Fedora's "short support cycle" that does not provide updating of infrastructural libraries for very long, libraries which newer versions of applications (like Firefox, Thunderbird, Opera etc) depend on and which wont install unless the libraries are also newer

Authenticating the rsync server
Scenario: I have a main website. I want to allow other people with web servers to use rsync to synchronize mirror copies of my website. When the mirror website uses rsync to connect to the server, how can it be sure that the server is not an IP spoofing impostor that is serving up altered files?

User-defined RNG with the standalone Rmath library
I have two questions about using a user-defined random number generator (RNG) with the standalone Rmath library. The default RNG with the standalone Rmath library is the Marsaglia-multicarry generator, which has poor properties. The "R Installation and Administration" manual, in the section "The standalone Rmath library", states that: ``` A little care is needed to use the
