tired of "midget packet received" warnings
Hi,
When monitoring an asterisk through its iax2 port I get these warnings
at the console:
[Nov 6 13:15:15] WARNING[2209]: chan_iax2.c:7000 socket_process: midget packet received (1 of 4 min)
This is triggered by the monitoring app sending a POKE to the iax port.
The warning appears even without any '-v'.
Is there a way to avoid these warnings? Or at least turn them off when

[Mass Effect] I feel myself awfully tired
Hello everybody.
A have spent 20days+nights trying to get my Mass Effect work on wine some way... As you can easilly predict, with no success.
It was hard time with up to 6 combinations of display driver, 24 or more versions of wine and endless chain of winetricks and attempts to do without.

Tired of trying to fix this echo problem
Anyone tried the Clipcomm CG-410? I'm tired of beeing unable to get rid
correctly of the echo problem. I have 3 TDM04B installed in one server.
It was working fine when I had only one card installed in the server but
since I installed 2 more then I can't get rid of it what ever I try...
So now I'm looking at other solutions. And I saw that Clipcomm makes a
router with 4 FXO ports

This suggests to me that you may have congestion problems in your
"upstream" traffic flow.
Setting QoS on the packets may not help, if whatever router you are

Tired of "filename too long"? Me too...
I assume there's some good reason for the way filenames are faithfully
maintained as temp files, but it's a little frustrating when you get
"filename too long" messages as a result... with no indication of what
file it was it's complaining about.
The obvious fix is to simply generate a tmpname and have done with it.
Possibly safer, truncate the filename, in case there's

You're probably all tired of people like me...
Alright. Fedora 13. Wine. Steam. kgo.
It's not working. Steam 'updates' to its latest release on installation (as it should) but the app quits as soon as it launches.
I ran it from the terminal and get the following error dump:
Code:
[David at localhost Steam]$ wine steam
fixme:process:GetLogicalProcessorInformation ((nil),0x32e488): stub

find_by_sql vs connection.select_all
I was trying to do SUM based mySQL query simliar to the following:
SELECT SUM(updated_on - created_on) AS total from signups
If I were to run this command in the mySQL console I would get a
result. However, if I were to run it using the following command in
Rails:
Signup.find_by_sql("SELECT SUM(updated_on - created_on) AS total from
signups")
The query that is written to the log is:

Samba and ldap referrals
All,
If I set up a BDC with a replicated ldap server, can I point the "ldap
backend" and "idmap backend" options *both* to the localhost and enable
a referral on the slave so that writes (ie Idmap updates) will be
referred to the master server?
I'm running debian unstable with openldap 2.4 (and libs) and Samba
3.0.30.
I know I should use the new idmap interface but this

Referrals/Success Stories would be greatly appreciated
Hello,
I am looking to replace my company's Avaya Merlin Magix system with
an Asterisk based PBX when our current lease is up. I had a meeting
with upper management yesterday, and they would like some assurance that
other companies are running Asterisk with success. We are a relatively
small company, with about 70 total extensions. I would be purchasing a

Because a compatible client will use the capability as advertised by the
server,
and then fail because the server is not honouring its promise.
