Is it possible to clone an NT ACL from one file or dir to a totally different file or dir ?
Can I use a command like this to clone an NT ACL? getfattr -n security.NTACL templateFile | sed -e 's/templateFile/realFile/' | sudo setfattr --restore=- I can see that the attribute gets copied over but when I view the ACL in Windows security tab it's not the same ACL, it's much bigger and includes all kinds of default-like stuff. I'm trying to find a way to update

This applies on top of my series arch: barrier cleanup + barriers for virt and will be included in the next version of the series. Changes from v2: catch optional\s* before () in barriers rewrite using qr{} instead of map Michael S. Tsirkin (3): checkpatch.pl: add

[PATCH v2 2/3] checkpatch: check for __smp outside barrier.h
Introduction of __smp barriers cleans up a bunch of duplicate code, but it gives people an additional handle onto a "new" set of barriers - just because they're prefixed with __* unfortunately doesn't stop anyone from using it (as happened with other arch stuff before.) Add a checkpatch test so it will trigger a warning. Reported-by: Russell King <linux at

Symbolic Maximum Likelihood in R
Dear List: Is any one aware of a package that would extend the D() function and allow for one to maximize a likelihood function symbolically? Something akin to Solve[x==0, parameter] function in Mathematica? Clearly R has the capacity to _compute_ MLEs given a set of data. But, I'm looking for a package that would allow for me to define the likelihood function, find the 1st order partial

rm(list=ls())
R-2.14.2, Win7 x64 Dear list, I have the habit of including rm(list=ls()) at the top of most of my scripts. However, I wonder whether rm(list=ls()) gives the exact same result as closing R and starting again fresh. In other words, is it possible that there will be differences on how a script runs under a fresh start of R versus when I "only" use rm(list=ls()) , or should both
