DNAcopy package in R
Hi All: Has anyone analyzed Illumina 550K data using DNAcopy package? I have around 2300 samples. According to Venkatraman and Olshen 2007 paper, it needs about 25 min to run a single sample for Affymetrix 100K. I am afraid it will take too long to analyzed my data. Anybody has an idea? Thanks! Table Command (PR#1182)
Full_Name: Manisha Desai Version: 1.3.0 OS: UNIX Submission from: (NULL) (156.111.36.213) There may be a bug in the table command. The value of 0 does not appear to show up (at least in this version of R). The following is an example: > blah<-c(rep(1,100),rep(0,100)) > table(blah) Gives the following: blah 1 100 Doing a summary shows that blah does contain values of 0. >

creating a "report" table from a set of lists
I've been trying to figure out how to accomplish the following... I've got a list (returned from a function) and I would like to "cbind()" the lists together to create a "cross tab" report or simply bind them together somehow the function returns a list that looks like the following: > all$BM $species [1] "BM" $vbar.nobs [1] 3 $vbar.sum [1] 54.05435

AJAX to a table row
Hello- I''d like to throw a little AJAX into a table to allow the user to edit a single row of data inline rather than moving to another page. The row (which has N columns) would be swapped out for a row which has a single column (colspan="N") and the form inputs would be in that row. My question is, is this legal HTML? I can''t find anything that says either way.

summary table newbie question
I've got a newbie question and I got a little lost in the "table helps". I've got a data.frame I would like to summarize as a (and pardon for the lack of correct vernacular) data collection matrix. My data looks like, stand siteindex age acres pct.acres 1 232 116 45 8477.3105 0.56159458 2 234 121 25 11120.1530 0.73667441 3 235 132 25

Tree question
I was under the impression that the tree method (e.g. as implemented in rpart) was insensitive to monotonic transformations of the dependent variable. e.g. Breiman Olshen et al. Classification and Regression Trees state "In a standard data structure [a tree] is invariant under all monotone transformations of individual ordered varaibles" (p. 57) However, I get very different results

line wrap in R console under windows
I would like the R console to wrap lines at 80 cols. It does not do so, even though I have used the Rgui Configuration Editor to set the Console cols at 80 and the Pager cols at 80. Please tell me how to set it up so I have word wrap. Just to be clear: in older/other R versions, console input is wrapped at 80 cols and so you have something that looks like > blah blah blah blah blah blah blah

replicate lines of data frame
Greetings! I am just now learning to use R for my dissertation project. I need to manipulate a lot of text and numeric data. I created a data frame that has 7 columns and 127 unique rows. Now I need to replicate each line 6 times and then later change values in the first 2 columns. I am trying to figure out how to accomplish this. I think that I need to use rep(my.df, each=6) but it does

Is -R --link-dest really hard to use, or is it me?
I've got a problem for which the combination of -R and --link-dest doesn't seem to be quite enough---and I may have discovered a few small bugs as well; test cases are below. [And if someone has a scheme for doing this that doesn't involve rsync at all, but works okay, I'm all ears as well---I'm not the first with this problem.] Here's my problem: I unfortunately need to

replacing mkdir -p
Puppet right now requires every element of a path to have an individual file definition. This makes it had to take an arbitrary path as a parameter. You are forced to require your client to make the entire path structure for you or instead you use an exec resource and call mkdir -p. Using an exec resource does not generate an File resources so autorequire does not work. I didn''t

Displaying line breaks & paragraphs using 'simple_format' ?
Hi there, I need to: 1. STORE a text of the below format in a (MySQL) database (using a ''textarea''), and then 2. RETRIEVE & DISPLAY it in exactly the same format (meaning: keeping all paragraphs/line breaks).
