Missing -lc for compilation on AIX (R 1.1.0) (PR#571)
Hi,
Kudos to all who've worked on getting 1.1 out. It installs cleanly on
Linux and Sun. But AIX, of course, is a problem...
When linking shared libs, the symbols from libc.a are not found. I
apologize for not investigating this further at the moment - they
may not be properly or not all exported from R.bin.
Fix: I've added ' -lc' to SHLIBLDFLAGS in Makeconf and

eigen broken on AIX with R-devel? (PR#537)
Hi, I get the wrong eigen values on an AIX machine with R-devel of 5/3/00.
Here are the results:

[Fwd: problems installing rjags | tcltk]
Quick followup. Confirmed that TCl/Tk are both installed on the machine
(they are, in both 32- and 64-bit flavours), as are all tcl and
tk-related libs, devel packages, and about everything else I could find.
It occurred to me that perhaps the R I compiled isn't 'tcltk' aware. I
checked the config.log, and there is some hint that this might be the
case. Just before ## File

tkrplot
The package tkrplot now works in OS X (Jaguar). The
core of the problem is that the load function in tcl does not accept
bundles, but needs dynamic libraries (I verfied this using the
native version of tclsh and Wish). But the config files in
the tkrplot package (as in all packages) build bundles, not
libraries. Thus I said in the src directorry of the tkrplot package
gcc -dynamiclib

Problem installing tcltk on Solaris
I have built R 1.5.0, and tcl and tk 8.3.4 from sources on a Solaris
2.7 machine. All _appear_ to build successfully. tcl and tk pass
their test suites. They were configured to build shared libraries
(though I also tried it with tk not shared).
When I try to use tcltk, I get this error message:

Almost succesfull build on AIX
Hi,
Kurt Hornik and myself have an almost successful build of R on AIX
including dynamic loading of libraries ... which fails make check :-(
Anyway, as we have no AIX experience at all, maybe somebody else knows
what's going on.
Here's the problem:

R-beta: configure problem (tcltk) on 64 bit Red Hat EL
Dear developeRs,
I use Red Hat Enterprise Linux WS release 4 (Nahant Update 2) on an
x86_64 machine (two Intel P4 CPUs with 64 bit support), and
R-beta_2005-12-12_r36712.tar.gz.
If I run configure without any options, it does not list tcltk among
the supported interfaces:
./configure

unresolved symbols in growth and repeated libraries
I am having trouble using Jim Lindsey's libraries because of unresolved
symbols. I am currently using R 0.65.0, but had this problem in earlier

the libraries):
