MDI
Hello,
I want to use wxruby in my application, but this should be MDI application.
Kevin, could you add MDIParentFrame, MDIClientWindow and MDIChildFrame
in wxruby-0.3, please?

SashWindows
Hi
Please find attached a set of patches to implement Sash Layouts plus a
little sample. These are resizable panes that can be used to create an
IDE-like application, with sidebars etc. They''re quite a lot more
powerful than SplitterWindow, for example you can split an MDI client
window, and you can have lots of them. Not quite as nice as wxAUI

MDI form in Wine
Hi all,
One of my application use MDI(Multiple Document Interface) form, when I open 2 forms at the same time, and close one form first, then I can still see some image of previous form overlapped on the other form, if I minimize the window and the maximize the other form, the overlapped image will disappear!
Does anyone know how to prevent from this situation? Thanks!

Kevin, thanks for fast addition of the support of MDI and submenues!
I''ve tested it under WinXP and all works very well. There is a test

SashWindowLayout design
Hello!
I want a SashWindowLayout with 3 small panels (below each other) on the
left side and the big remaining area to the right. All walls movable.
The approach that I''ve used to get kind of the effect I wanted was to
first add the right-side area (right-aligned), then add 2 other
top-aligned panels. Which leaves the remaining area to the panel at the
bottom left.
I got a problem

MDI fixed
In diagnosing the wxWindow.h problem I discovered that the problem is
related to directors wrapping returned pointers. I went in to
wxMDIParentFrame and removed ''virtual'' from a couple of the functions
and the MDI windows work again.
I will investigate a fix for this later, since there are a lot of
functions that return pointers. However, the MDI crash was a big one
that

Enter key in data editor bombs program in MDI (PR#11579)
Full_Name: Michael H
Version: 2.7
OS: Windows XP SP3
Submission from: (NULL) (74.74.76.1)
When running R with the multiple document interface, pressing enter in the data
editor causes the program to crash with the following command:
Dataset <- edit(as.data.frame(NULL))
This problem persists when using the fix command, such as fix(Dataset).
Interestingly, the arrow keys and mouse work fine

Alex: Any idea why the list is still bouncing these?
"noreply at rubyforge.org" is in the list of addresses that are supposed to
be allowed to post even though not subscribed. What is that about
"Message has implicit destination"???

wxPython/wxRuby
I''ve downloaded wxPython and the demos and am trying to update our
bigdemo. I can see some big differences in how wxRuby and wxPython
interact on Windows. Our layout seems wrong. For example, I never
knew the textctrl sample had more than two controls on it! I only ever
saw the two. In the python version, the controls lay out close
together. Secondly, on the ComboBox sample

Patch to wxMDIParentFrame.h
This patch file will allow the MDI example to run. We''ll need to
revisit it later. There''s still a crash but it''s the same crash as from
the scrolled window example. I''ll send a patch later that fixes the
problem with DrawLines.

couple of questions
Hi folks
A couple of questions:
1) I seem to get funny artifacts in the display of TreeCtrl, ComboBox
and ListBox when the MDI child frame containing it is first painted (see
attached - it should be two-root treeview, unopened). I''m not sure if
it''s related to being in a MDI, but the controls sample looks OK. The
artifacts are cleared up when it''s repainted or

Update ash-port to NetBSD-1.6.1
Hi all,
this patch updates the ash-port of klibc to that one found in
NetBSD-1.6.1 instead of the horribly old one currently used. It's a bit
longish (appearently there has been some work done between 1993 and
today), but now it's even useable on 64-bit systems :-).
Plus I've added some nice-to-have builtins, e.g. printf.
Cheers,
Hannes

MDI on OS X
Hi
I was wondering if the mdi sample runs for anyone on OS X? On 10.3, in
both wxruby and wxruby-swig it creates a ruby app but doesn''t show any
child windows on request.
cheers

R Startup options (MDI and SDI)
Here's my setup:
- I'm on a Windows machine (I don't have full admin rights)
- I have a folder with an *.RData file and an .RProfile file
- I want the user to be able to start R by double clicking on the
*.RData file
Can I specify the application start up options (like --no-save --mdi) in
the local RProfile file?
Thanks!

small patch for mdi sample
This patch specifies a position and size for the main Frame so it
looks correct when first opened and does not need to be resized.
