HtmlWindow and friends
Hi
Attached is a patch to add HtmlWindow and some of its friends, including
HtmlEasyPrinting. Also a sample.
I haven''t tried exposing the parsing and rendering API yet to allow
custom tags etc - I just wanted to get basic HTML and the 0.6.0
compatibility classes first. There may well be some quite easy classes left.
There''s one ugly kludge to get OnOpeningURL to compile -

=ConfigBase
merci

nested classes
I am working on wxFileType and wxMimeTypesManager, most of which I
have done but I had to comment out a nested class in wxFileType and
the methods that use it. Does anyone have a clever way to get around
nested classes since SWIG does not currently support them?

Merci.

patch for Icon
I just checked out a fresh copy and had to tweak wxIcon.h to get it to
compile on Mac OS X and windows. The problem is with:
wxIcon(const wxString& filename,
wxBitmapType type = wxBITMAP_TYPE_XPM,
int desiredWidth=-1, int desiredHeight=-1);
that signature is only used on GTK on other systems it is:
wxIcon(const wxString& name,

wxruby.so error with weft-qda
Dear wxruby users
I''ve been trying to get wxruby-based weft-qda 0.9.6 running on a linux from
scratch 6.1 system (this list had a discussion about weft-qda last year and
alex fenton''s also been trying to help me out - no luck so far).
I get stuck with wxruby 0.60 (I think). I compiled wxruby against wxGTK 2.4.2
(without gtk2, without unicode - gtk+ version is 1.2.10) - after

Grid.GetTextExtent
Wow. Look what SWIG does to GetTextExtent in Grid.cpp:
void SwigDirector_wxGrid::GetTextExtent(wxString const &string, int *x,
int *y, int *descent, int *externalLeading, wxFont const *font) const {
...
if (swig_get_up()) {
wxWindow::GetTextExtent(string,x,y,descent,externalLeading,font);
return;
}
obj0 = rb_str_new2((const char *)(&string)->mb_str());

Window#paint patch
Attached is a patch and some extra files to fix our
ObjectPreviouslyDeleted crasher with the paint method. As discussed, it
just re-implements the method in Ruby.
I created a directory lib/wx/classes as a place to hold Ruby extensions
to the API. The attached app.rb and window.rb files should be added to
it. When this patch is applied, files in that directory are
automatically required on

Hello all. This gets past the problem in bigdemo where it won''t start
the application at all. That was where it was overflowing the stack on

classes to be ignored etc
Hi
just a quick update on
http://wxruby.rubyforge.org/wiki/wiki.pl?What_Classes_Are_Implemented_In_Wxruby
I''ve added a clearer comparison of the two versions, plus info on
classes that are being dropped or shouldn''t be implemented b/c standard
library is preferred. obviously these are up for discussion, just my
view based on what''s in ruby by default or easy to

[Fwd: Re: Help a newbie pick a gui tool kit]
Hey Guys,
This just came over the rubytalk list. Does anybody have any Debian
experience?
BTW, one thing this project *really* could use is people to package
wxruby for <your distro here>. You don''t need SWIG/C++ experience for
it, and a little work could help a lot of people.

Can''t compile the cvs-tree
Hi folks,
Let me start off by saying I''ve just been following wxruby development
for two or three days now and have read up on alot on what has been
going on. I must say I''m impressed and happy about all the things being
developed and created by you guys! You got me all excited and I know I''m
not the only one. If I have an opportunity to spend more time
