wxImageHandler type?
Hiya, I was trying to figure out how to display PNG files using
wxWindows/wxRuby. Google turned up a few things, mainly discussing
the wxImageHandler class and it''s children, etc, but there seems to
be no mention of them in the wxRuby source.
Are they there, and I missed them, or are they just not there?
If there not there, is there a quick and dirty way to get them in?
It seems like

erb problems
Hi List,
I just read this mail on the rails mailing list, that might be of interest
for ferret. I don''t even know if it is true, that ferret is causing the erb
problems. If it is, then the fix of rmagick might be applicable to ferret
too...
Cheers, Jan

Win XP / Ferret & Acts_as_ferret .dump problem
Hey,
Has anyone managed to bypass or fix the ferret''s .dump method problem?
When I include acts_as_ferret my whole rails app just blows up because
of Ferret''s .dump method. Ex:
---
print "\t hello".dump >> "\t hello">Exit code: 0

require ''ferret''
print "\t hello".dump >> " hello"(NUL

tab characters with Rails 1.1 on Windows
We just upgraded to Ruby 1.8.4 and Rails 1.1. It works fine on my Mac
OSX, but in Windows, Rails spits out errors like "Invalid char `\002'' in
expression". Apparently, Ruby or Rails on Windows has a problem parsing
tab characters. This seems to be a common problem:

Frustrating "require" problems with RMagick
I am using RMagick in my app and am having problems in deployment. The
deployment machine (Fedora Core 5) can''t find RMagick unless I change
the "require" syntax from that used on the dev machine (OS X). And the
dev machine doesn''t like the syntax that works on the deployment server!
To wit:

$ script/console

How to get a Window handle from another app?
Hello,
I would like to get a window handle from another app outside of wxRuby
and convert it into a wxRuby Window handle so that I can use it as the
parent Window for several wxRuby child windows. Basically I want to use
the FRAME_FLOAT_ON_PARENT window style so that my wxRuby windows become
associated with the outside app kind of like toolbars, e.g., they don''t
show up in the

RMagick question ?
I have a file rmg.rb:
require ''RMagick''
include Magick
cat = ImageList.new("prod.jpg")
cat.display

The file prod.jpg is in the same directory as this file above.
I execute the following:
ruby rmg.rb
