[LLVMdev] Using MSVC _ftol2 runtime function for fptoui on Win32
Hi Joe & Michael,
In rev. 151382 you have changed the fptoui implementation of the x86 codegen for win32.
Before the change fptoui was lowered to
flds 16(%esp)
fisttpll 8(%esp)
movl 8(%esp), %eax
After the change fptoui is lowered to
flds 40(%esp)
calll _ftol2
Please note that the assumption that _ftol2 doesn't modify ECX isn't true on sandybridge platform.

DESCRIPTION and PACKAGES files.
Greetings; I'm working on translating the heirarchy of R packages into
the Gentoo Ebuild environment, currently working from a 2.3.1 install.
There are several data which it would be nice to see provided
alongside the existing output of available.packages; at the moment I
think I'm going to have to get License and SystemRequirements out of
individual package DESCRIPTIONs.
More generally,

Postfix : lda problem
Hi,
I come back with my problem:
On debian lenny, using dovecot 1.1.13-2~bpo50+1 I try to configure my
setup (with Postfix virtual
domains) to use dovecot as lda but nothing happens, as if postfix not
delegate to dovecot
I am using the contreol panel alternc (http://www.alternc.org).
All the maildir are in the format

How to read an excel data into R?
Hi all,
Does anybody know the easiest way to import excel data into R? I copied
and pasted the excel data into a txt file, and tried read.table, but R
reported that
Error in read.table("data_support.txt", sep = " ", header = T) :
more columns than column names
Thanks!

readLines vs scan
Folks:
Suppose I wish to input a text file with variable length lines and
possible whitespace as is and then parse the resulting character
vector in R. Each line of text is terminated with "\n" (newline
character).
Is there any reason to prefer one or the other of:
scan (filename, what ="a",sep ="\n") ##or
readLines(filename)
If it makes a difference, I'm on

PATCH: Add fields argument to installed.packages and available.packages
Hi all,
The write_PACKAGES function has a 'fields' argument that allows a user
generating a PACKAGES file to specify additional fields to include.
For symmetry, it would be nice for the available.packages function to
be able to read those extra fields when specified.
Similarly, it would be useful for installed.packages to have a
'fields' argument. This would allow a user to

local source packages install from within R session - cross-platform
I realize that others have struggled with this issue...i.e.
http://tolstoy.newcastle.edu.au/~rking/R/help/05/01/9826.html
i am on os.x 10.4 w/ R2.2, and am (perhaps foolishly) also on this quest...
i would like to be able to install downloaded source (tar.gz'd) files from
within an R session, and have it work in a X-platform way..i am often not
connected to the internet and have libraries

RMySQL integer range bug (PR#1400)
Full_Name: Matthias Piksa
Version: 1.4.1
OS: Redhat 7.1 2.96-85
Submission from: (NULL) (131.220.6.43)
There is a bug when retrieving values out of MySQL (3.23.36) which are of type
UNSIGNED INTEGER(10). The values can vary between 0 and 2^32 but R only accepts
those below 2^31-1. Anything above goes as 2^31-1.
thats what one gets:
print(quickSQL(con,"select ip_dst from iphdr where

[LLVMdev] [x86 codegen] 3DNow! intrinsics not behaving as expected.
I finally got all of the 3DNow! instruction intrinsics and builtins
into LLVM and Clang, however, while testing them, I've noticed that
they produce incorrect results.
For example:
typedef float V2f __attribute__((vector_size(8)));
int main() {
V2f dest, a = {1.0, 3.0}, b = {10.0, 3.5};
dest = __builtin_ia32_pfadd(a, b);
printf("(%f, %f)\n", dest[0], dest[1]);
}

alias does not work
Hi,
Thank you to everyone who helped me get near the goal. Remains a problem
is that aliases don't work.
The problem is that in the configuration of alternc, the mails are seen
as aliases in the form user_domain.tld. In a second time, a match is
made to see if an "real" alias exists.

RMySQL 0.6-1 Package Install Fails in R 2.5.1 (pclinuxos)
I am having difficulties installing the RMySQL package (0.6-1) on a
clean install of pclinuxos with R version 2.5.1. My version of the OS
came with R-base already installed along the RKWard GUI front end.I have
attempted to install the package through RKWard however I have had some
problems.
I have searched google and various forums extensively but I have not
found anyone with the exact same
