TaskBarIcon gives Typerror
Hi,
I''m working with wxruby since 2 days but next to this Wiki: http://wxruby.rubyforge.org/wiki/wiki.pl and this Doc: http://wxruby.rubyforge.org/doc/ I couldn''t find something usefull for it. Also del.icio.us has no intresting links. Do you know any good website or book about wxruby?

Can''t change button-size?
Hi,
I tried my first steps with wxruby today and I have a problem. I read the doc and wanted to add a button but no matter what I do the button has always the size of the whole frame also if I told him another size like in this example in which I gave him this size button = Button.new(self, -1, "Push me",Point.new(10,10),Size.new(50,10)) but it always has the size of the whole frame?:

wrote short instructions how to build wxruby with MinGW compiler in MSYS
environment.
Considering that wxruby can be of interest to some Ruby users not so

autogen.sh of vorbis trunk complains of missing files
I did a check-out of vorbis trunk (revision 7445), but I'm getting
problems with the autogen.sh. It complains that the required files
vorbis{,enc,file}-uninstalled.pc.in are not present.
$ ./autogen.sh
checking for autoconf...
checking for automake...
checking for libtool... libtoolize
I am going to run ./configure with no arguments - if you wish
to pass any to it, please specify them on the

iaxComm new version installation problem
hi,
i am trying to install iaxcomm-win-20031117.zip in my
windows xp machine. i am really messed up with the
wxwindows and the xrc support thing. can anyone give
me links to which i need to download for this new
version to work? i installed he older version
succesfully... when i installed new version it just
disappears.. i am missing something. i did download a
12 M wxWin file installed it and

New Quantian releases with almost all of CRAN / BioC
[ I hope this is not considered off-topic for the list:
A new Quantian release was just announced, and it contains even more R.
As before, we have R (now 2.2.1), ESS, Ggobi, Rpy, several BioInfo tools
-- but now we also have RSPerl, JGR, rJava and more. A full sync to CRAN
and BioC as of Feb 25, 2006 now yields dim(installed.packages())[1]
of 877. Feedback welcome, but

Patch to controls.rb
This patch fixes the controls.rb sample so the images load properly on
windows.
On windows, wxIcon does -not- descend from wxImage. This means it does
not have access to the image handling routines wxImage does.
Furthermore, despite the documentation, it does -not- support XPM icons
on Windows. The solution is to just not use icons where images are
