make dist: errors, and www.oasis-open.org almost stale
Hi, I am trying to create a tarball from a 4.0.3 git checkout using "make dist", but it throws errors (small sample below, detailed Copy&Paste on request), and apart from this, www.oasis-open.org seems stale on connects from xsltproc, as can be seen in the lsof sample, below as well. Briefly and cheekily asked, is that normal? Are we all omitting docs in packaging at the moment?

Variable expansion in password field
Hi list! I've recently updated a small dovecot cluster from 2.2.29 to 2.3.10. I've found an issue with variable expansion. My user/password database is on a mysql table, with password saved in plain text field. The cluster receives mail via lmpt and users fetch them via imap. On the 2.2.29 version, no issues. After the upgrade, I've found some lines in the log: Apr 14 14:36:05

"error in rsync protocol data stream (code 12) at io.c(150)" revisited
I browsed the web and the archive, and apart from someone asking whether anyone else had rsync problems after installing OpenSSH 3.4, I came up empty. Can anyone point me in the right direction to debug this? I've got over 50 GB to keep in sync, and don't know of another elegant way to do it. Environment: source system = bb: - Linux version 2.4.7-10smp

Install fails when libdir and libexecdir are the same directory
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi, I'm using Dovecot 1.2.9. I configured it like this: % ./configure --prefix=/opt/rt --libdir=/opt/rt/lib \ --libexecdir=/opt/rt/lib [other args...] It compiled fine, but failed to install, because it tries to install a directory called <libdir>/dovecot/imap, and a file called <libexecdir>/dovecat/imap, which obviously

Stop Maildir appending to path
Dovecot is working perfectly except for one problem. I have local users and virtual users. Local users are ~/Maildir. And virtual users are /home/vmail/domain/user. The problem is, it keeps trying to fetch virtual mail at /home/vmail/domain/user/Maildir. It doesn't exist the user/ dir is the Maildir. To get around this, I have to make symlinks on each virtual email. What should I

Looping over graphs in igraph
Hi, I'm trying to do some basic social network analysis with igraph in R, but I'm new to R and haven't been able to find documentation on a couple basic things: I want to run igraph's community detection algorithms on a couple thousand small graphs but don't know how to automate igraph looking at multiple graphs described in a single csv file. My data look like something in

default_mail_env %d var problem
Hello, I am new to Dovecot and trying to setup on my Fedora Core 1 mail servers (actually migrating from uw to dovecot ;-) ). In my setup I use pam to authenticate virtual users. All the usernames include @domainname in their usernames like 'jane at somevhost.com'. Now path to user's home and INBOX includes /home/vhosts/<domainname>/home/<username>. I have added following

Questions on counts by case
Hi all, for the data below I would like to 1. generate a dummy variable for each group "gr" of the same composition by people, then save each portion in a separate file, 2. compute the frequency of "1"'s in "x" for each person by group "gr". So, "mike" will have freq=2/3, as he has two "1" and one "0" in 3 groups.
