centos deployment community project
Hello, Wanted to let folks know about a community project focused on centos/rhel deployment. The project is called CentOS Studio. The idea is to provide a general platform for assembling and testing rpm package repositories containing existing rpms, user-provided content and, optionally, anaconda installation images. The repositories can be used with yum, as usual, or to install complete systems

CentOS Summit?
Hello, I am writing to gauge interest in holding a gathering for CentOS users, admins and developers? A conference is a fun and efficient way for like-minded individual to meet, learn about each other, share stories, exchange ideas, provide support and friendship, and come up with even better ideas for the future. If there is sufficient interest, I would be willing to help organize. Perhaps an

CentOS 5.3 Anaconda nic device ordering
I have a bunch of HP BL465c G5 blades, with additional dual-port network adapters. The onboard interfaces use the bnx2 driver, while the expansion card uses tg3. All 4 interfaces are detected by both Anaconda and the installed system, but Anaconda is reversing the ordering: Anaconda: eth0 Card 2, Port 1 eth1 Card 2, Port 2 eth2 Card 1, Port 1 eth3 Card 1, Port 2 BIOS and Installed Kernel:

model selection, lme
hello, i'd like to evaluate the 2 factors (f1 with 4, f2 with 2 levels) and its interactions in my model for writing up a summary table with likelihood-ratio tests for publication purpose. now i'm unsure about which terms of my model may be dropped from the full model and which not. mfull<-lme(resp~f1*f2,random=...) m1<-lme(resp~f1+f2,..) m2<-lme(resp~f1,..)

Kickstart deploys more packages?
Hi, Does anyone know why an Anaconda Kickstart installation deploys more rpm packages than a manual "basic" installation? In both cases the following package groups were installed/used according to anaconda-ks.cfg in root home directory: @core, @server-policy, @workstation-policy

PXE / Kickstart / nfs ....
hello there, I wonder if you could help me: I am trying to install 50 diskless servers using PXE / kickstart, it all starts well, DHCP server issues a dynamic address, tftp issues the kickstart file, the client starts reading the KS file but at some point anaconda brings up an unhandled exception related to Python when reading Comps.xml?? What is really unsettling is the fact that if I plug

[LLVMdev] Intel vs. AT&T Assembly.
Ok, less talk and more action. I just implemented proper Microsoft ML/MASM support. It probably has a few rough edges, so if anyone wants to try it out please do and let me know if you encounter any problems. Note that you cannot take a bytecode file created by llvm-gcc on Unix, move it to Windows, translate it to Intel syntax assembler, assemble it with ML and expect it to work.

Planning a dovecot deployment: issues and questions
Hi folks, I am currently evaluating Dovecot for deployment to ~200 software engineers (so, heavy email users); I'm hoping this list could provide wisdom about how best to do the configuration, evaluation and deployment, and what testing folks have done to determine whether dovecot is right for their site. Below I've listed the diffs between the dovecot-example.conf and our config.
