7.2-PRE amd64 panic when starting Xorg
Hi, I've installed 7.2-PRERELEASE, csup on 20090423 at around 19:00 UTC. When I rebooted after installing world, X started (xdm in /etc/ttys) and immediately panicked the system, even before switching to the new VTY. I removed all ports and installed Xorg from today's ports HEAD, same result. This is the case with my old xorg.conf and a new one from 'Xorg -configure'. I

How to simulate a variable Xt=Wit+0.5Wit-1 with
Dear Carlos, please refrain from posting the same question umpteen times. Please consider that code is hard to read and people might not have the time to run your simulation etc. etc.. As I told you privately in response to your message on 18/1, > Re: generating correlated effects, I tried this only once, but I > didn't get it right. Simulations using this are, e.g., Hansen (2007)

CentOS 5.2 nVidia GeForce 7300GS resolution problem
I have a Gigabyte nVidia GeForce 7300GS on an Intel DG965WHMKR mobo attached to an LG Flatron LG204WT widescreen monitor. I'm driving the monitor at 1680*1050, and the picture is compressed into the right-hand two-thirds of the screen. The monitor is OK as it's attached via a KVM switch to another machine - also with an nVidia card - and it displays perfectly on that. It looks like some

C6 compatible wireless printers?
Hi, Any success stories with C6 and wireless printers? Or maybe horror stories and what products to avoid? I'm looking at some HPs on amazon right now, some quite cheap, ~ ?50, not bad. Ideally they should have easy to refill cartridges. Thanks.

apic vs xt-pic on fc3?
Currently running fc3 (2.6.9-1.667) on a test box with a TDM04b and A200D installed with svn trunk. Its working well except one of the cards is sharing interrupts with another device that I'd like to clean up. I'd like to try moving to io-apic interrupt support for more interrupts. The MB bios is config'ed to support apic, but apparently the kernel is not. Is there a kernel level

TDM400P Problems
Hi, I have just started to setup and configure my asterisk box and am having trouble with it. I have a dlink nic in the box as well as the digium card. When the nic is in there by itself it works, but when I put the tdm400p in, there seems to be some sort of conflict with the network card. The tdm appears as another type of network card, which I don't think it should, should it? It shows

anyone using DBMail?
I am currently using Cyrus IMAPd, and been using it for a long time, the main reason being that I want an IMAP server with nice server-side filtering, which Cyrus provides via Sieve. Given that Sieve is integrated with Squirrelmail, all is good. Or is it? Cyrus IMAPd is powerful, but it's a complete mess to upgrade, either when upgrading the software per se, or when upgrading the whole

So when a user is logged in to ther Sharepoint she will also be logged in to my rails-app? We haven''t decided yet on what to deploy rails on so I''m open to suggestions... If we

[CSL #351425] perfctr-enabled C5 kernel anyone?
Hi all: We have a user who needs to do some work with PAPI, which requires the perfctr patch applied to the kernel proper. Before I do that work here, I wanted to ask the list if anyone knows of a repo where such kernels are available? Also, if anyone has gone down this route and has helpful hints, perspectives, horror stories, etc., I would covet that information also. Cheers and Thanks,
