Plotting 3d surfaces
Dear Subscribers,
I am using R for quite a while nowadays on Ubuntu 10.04 LTS. I a using R
for doing my statistics. Furthermore I am using it as a tool to generate
the graphics for my publications.
I am currently working on a project which involves nls-fits of three

Problems setting up Samba (nmbd) as multi-subnet router
Hi,
i have a network with one machine acting as master router with
2x4-Port-Ethernet-Cards in it - running nmbd!
There are two Windows-Workgroups, WRK1 and WRK2 in each there are

is a standalone PDC, PDC1.
Every network is a full 255 IP-Network.

mtext with at=NULL
Hello,
in the help of mtext I found
"at: If ?length(at)==0? (the default), the location will be determined
by ?adj?"
But if I use mtext( "hello world", at=NULL) there comes the following
error message:
Fehler in mtext("hallo Welt", side = 3, adj = NA, at = NULL) :
'at' mit L?nge 0 angegeben
So the help says it is ok to use at with length(at) == 0 but if

Quota exceeded - ignore setting
Hello,
I have a problem if I use the 'ignore' setting in my dovecot.conf
A delete operation in the client means that
the mail is copied to Trash mailbox. If the user is already over quota
the delete operation will fail. Therefore I use the ignore setting,
which doesn`t count the quota at all for the given mailbox. But it
doesn`t work. I got still a quoted exceeded failure in my client.

Mounting Snapshots
Hello
I am doing a research project (http://www.ites-project.org/) and want to
be able to mount VM images (all kinds of VMs, starting with VirtualBox).
For that libguestfs seems perfect. I am already able to mount the base
HD, but I was not able to additionally mount the overlaying Snapshot files.
Is there a way to mount several HD files onto each other ?
Thanks

RGTK2 and glade on Windows - GUI newbie
Hallo,
I'd like to write a GUI (first choice with GTK+).
I've surfed through the R- an Omegahat-Pages, because I'd like to use
RGTK2, GTK 2.10.11 in combination with glade on Windows XP (perhaps later
Unix, Mac).
I've found a lot of different information. Because of the information I'm
not sure, if this combination is running on Windows XP and I'm unsure how
it works.

Use Font Frutiger in PDF-File
Hi,
I'd like to use the font "Frutiger" in my pdf files generated by R.
but I only manage this if I create a postscript file with
postscript() and the option family = c( "LT_14361.afm",
"LT_14363.afm", "LT_14373.afm", "LT_14375.afm" ) and convert this
postscript file to pdf.
If I specify the option 'family' like above ( =

Coloured 3d surface
Hello,
I created a 3d surface (persp) with some points overlaid on it, which is
fine. Now I have a second set of z-values(x,y-values same as the first
surface), which I would like to make visible on the same graph, however,
not as a surface, but rather as coloured contour on the first surface,
so that the resulting graph will consist of the original surface having
the colour of the second

3-D scatter plot laid over Surface plot
Hello,
I have created a Fitness surface (persp()), with data that was created
by a tp spline procedure. Now I would like to superimpose a set (XYZ) of
existing points (from two different treatments) onto this surface.
I didn't come across any function or command that is able to do this in R.
Could somebody please help me in finding a solution to this problem
Thank you

dovecot vs. Outlook Mobile
Hi,
I am testing dovecot with Outlook Mobile 5 (OM5), which is currently
not working. OM5 connects, says "NOOP" and "CAPABILITY", does login
correctly and simply loggs out after that telling the user that it
could not download any messages. When I put an imapproxy[0] in front
of dovecot, OM5 works perfectly well. That leads me to the thought,
that something in the way dovecot

Offer to help
Hi all!
First of all, I'd like to thank you for what you are doing; I really
like (as you do, too) having a free video/audio codec, so I can store my
data without any dependecy on proprietary software and standards.
I read you are looking for help for various topics on libtheora, and I'd
like to offer my help; I've pretty much experience coding C/C++ and
already written some free

Thank you for the tip with CRYPT.
Is there any explanation for this behaviour though?
Why are BCRYPT hashes accepted when default_pass_scheme is set to SHA512-CRYPT
and not vice versa? Is this

this is less of a bug report or a help request, but we would like to know if
someone can explain the following:

default_pass_scheme = BLF-CRYPT
password hash in database : BLF-CRYPT
login = works
default_pass_scheme = SHA512 or SHA256-CRYPT

LIST % not returning correct data?
Hi list,
I have
namespace private {
prefix = INBOX.
separator = .
inbox = yes
}
in an installation migrated from courier. I am testing with Outlook
Mobile 5 (OM) which uses 'LIST "" %' to get the folder list. Now
courier used to return
* LIST (\HasChildren) "." "INBOX"
whereas dovecot returns
* LIST (\HasNoChildren) "." "INBOX"
