Adding more sugar to wxSugar
Hi all,
New wxRuby event handling offers the choice between using blocks or
methods seamlessly and easily. This is great respectively for simple
app and more complex app.
Nevertheless, currently the creation of an application, a frame, or a
dialog is very tedious for simple app :
- you need to create a subclass of Wx::App, Wx::Frame ...
- you need to put the initialization code in the initialize

Major Breakthrough?
Attached are patches to make the textctrl.rb sample work fully. Note
the new %directorargout typemap I added to fix wxWindows calling into
SWIG. I don''t know if this can fix all such problems or not. Let me
know what you think.
I also rubified the sample a little bit more. Also, note that I fix the
<< operator so the function can be called. I hope I did this right.

problem with Menu.append_check_item()
Menu.append_check_item(), like Menu.append(), is supposed to return a
reference to the created menu item. Here is a test code which seems to show
that this behavior works for append(), but fails for append_check_item().
This is the output I get:
% ruby test-menu.rb
#<Wx::MenuItem:0xb74c036c>
nil
Am I missing something or is this a bug? Both menu items are created and
work as expected. I

HtmlWindow and friends
Hi
Attached is a patch to add HtmlWindow and some of its friends, including
HtmlEasyPrinting. Also a sample.
I haven''t tried exposing the parsing and rendering API yet to allow
custom tags etc - I just wanted to get basic HTML and the 0.6.0
compatibility classes first. There may well be some quite easy classes left.

run.rb
This is a first stab at a run.rb file that will let you run a sample in
the bigdemo directory by itself.
You have to add the following to the bottom of every sample file:

problem subclassing Wx::Menu
Hi folks
I''m trying to make a class to make Wx::Menu easier for me to use and
hide the constants and event-binding complexity.
I''ve created a subclass of Wx::Menu, but whether I create my own
append() method and call super(), or create a differently-named method
and called append() from it, it seems to segfault. Sample attached, see
line 20. Am I doing something stupid?

How to apply table() on subdata and stack outputs
Dear R helpers:
I am a R novice and have a question about using table() to extract
frequences over many sub-datasets.
A small example input dataframe and wanted output dataframe are provided
below. The real data is very large so a for loop is what I try to avoid.
Can someone englithen me how to use sapply or the like to achieve it?

SashWindowLayout design
Hello!
I want a SashWindowLayout with 3 small panels (below each other) on the
left side and the big remaining area to the right. All walls movable.
The approach that I''ve used to get kind of the effect I wanted was to
first add the right-side area (right-aligned), then add 2 other
top-aligned panels. Which leaves the remaining area to the panel at the
bottom left.

Anti-aliasing?
I''m doing a graphics application and need onscreen anti-aliasing for
both lines and text. Seems like wxGraphicsContext would do that, is that
planned to be ported to wxRuby?
