Bug#665433: xen hypervisor FATAL PAGE FAULT after linux kernel BUG: unable to handle kernel paging request
Package: xen-hypervisor-4.0-i386
Version: 4.0.1-4
This is the same machine referenced in http://bugs.debian.org/665413.
It is an HP d530 SFF workstation (model DG784A) with 4GiB of RAM. It
has run for years on the lenny xen + linux stack. If my notes are
correct, it also ran smoothly for about a year with the lenny hypervisor
+ kernel and the squeeze userland.

Bug#760563: Bug#760563: xen-hypervisor-4.4-amd64: Xen >=4.1 not booting on IBM HS20
Hi,
First of all, thanks for your help.
I have made some test with this results
debian testing with xen 4.4 can run if we add mmcfg=0 as boot options
to kernel boot parameters !!! Remember that with xen kernel <=4.0
works perfect without to add mmcfg=0
I have tried to install citrix xenserver 5.6 and works perfect
(remember that this is xen 3 branch)
Also we have tried to install xenserver

This thread suggests that mmconfig might be the issue, in which case
does adding "mmcfg=0" to your hypervisor command line help?
I'd recommend continuing to pursue this upstream, there are far more

[PATCH v4 0/3] support for cubieboard2 / sunxi processors
The majority of this series went in a while back, what remains is just
the basic platform support and the UART blacklisting. The series has
also grown a constcorrectness fix for the other existing platforms too.
Still no SATA support from upstream sadly.
Bamvor has written some generic docs at

I recently upgrade from Squeeze to Wheezy on a system which had the
xen-linux-system-686-pae metapackage (one of two which Provides:
xen-linux-system). After dist-upgrade I had the new xen-utils-common and
xenstore-utils (and a few others) but not the xen-utils-4.1 or

Bug#688308: installing some additional docs
tags 688308 +patch
thanks
A lot of /docs/ is pretty low-level and not all that interesting to be
installed by the packages. However some of it is, and in particular some
is referenced from the manpages. I've cherry-picked the bits which I
think are most interesting in that context. Patch below.

Hello list,
I have performed a fresh install (fully updated) of
squeeze amd64 and installed the xen-linux-system-2.6.32-5-xen-amd64 package
with all its dependencies.
When I restart and tried to boot the linux-image-2.6.32-5-xen-amd64 (pvops style) kernel on bare-metal my laptop boots fine.
When I use the hyper-visor on the system with the same linux-image-2.6.32-5-xen-amd64 kernel, it hangs

xl: expose max_cpu_id from `xl info`
This will allow userspace to reason with the total number of CPUs, not
just the current number of online CPUs.

Bug#648816: xen-utils-common: scripts/network-bridge requires brctl but bridge-utils is neither Depends nor Recommends
Package: xen-utils-common
Severity: normal
When setting
(network-script network-bridge)
in the xen config, restarting xen will result in error messages like:
/etc/xen/scripts/network-bridge: line 219: brctl: command not found
/etc/xen/scripts/network-bridge is part of xen-utils-common which doesnt
depend or recommend the bridge-utils package which contains brctl.
