Samba + Share Quota's
Hi Samba users. I have the following problem and I hope somebody can help me: I installed Samba on a White Box linux machine and used LDAP for authentication. I created a directory /work/shares. In /work/shares are all share directories created. The problem I'm having now is that the total capacity of each share is the same because they are on the same partition. (So /work/shares/test

windows-clients only recognize softlimit
Hi all, I'm running a samba-server (version 3.6.6 from the backports) on a Debian Squeeze System (kernel-version 2.6.32-5-686). The Debian-Server is configured as a member of an Active-Directory (Server 2003). A samba-share is configured to be the home-drive for the domain-users, I've set up some quotas for this partition. The problem is that the Windows-Clients only recognize the

Quota problem (soft=hardlimit?)
Hello all, after upgrading from 2.2.3a to 2.2.5 we experience strange quota behaviour. When logging out from Windows 2000 and writing the user profiles back to the server the user gets a "disk full" warning - below soft and hardlimit. Tests showed that the warning comes up when Userfiles + (2 * Profiles) > soft limit. In all our tests, the grace period and the hardlimit were

samba quotas
Hi guys, we need to update our samba service from 2.2.8a to samba 3.0.x (so that we can upgrade our AD from Win2k to Win2k3). The problem I am having is with the quotas. We mount user home directories NFS and then export them to Windows users via samba. In 2.2.8a I was able to get quotas working. However with samba 3.0.x, I cannot. I compiled --with-quotas. Now when a user uses a 3.0

Can't add users to an ACL
Hello all, I have the following setup: - Linux server running Debian stable - Custom kernel, 2.4.24 + ext3 ACL patch 0.8.64 - Samba 3.0.1-3 from binaries at samba.org, setup as a PDC, using the smbpasswd backend I have ACLs working with both setfacl and smbcacls. I can view ACLs and change permissions of users already in the ACL of a file on the server using a Windows XP client. However, when

NFS(4) IMAP Quota
Hi *, We use nfs4 in combination with dovecot. Also (hard)quotas are used on the exports. Using the dovecot quota fs plugin things did not work at all. There were a few issues we encountered: 1. Nfs4 is not recognized. The problem is that the mount type is only checked for "nfs" and not nfs4. This was an easy fix. 2. The (fs)path for nfs4 that is relayed to rquotad has to be without

feature request: single flag to unset ControlPath
While it's real handy to have "ControlMaster auto" to have multiple sessions get muxed into one, sometimes it's really helpful to _not_ use the same session (e.g. if you want to ssh -2fNR). It'd be quite nice if there were a flag to tell openssh to not mux the new connection at all - i.e. what "ssh -o ControlPath=none" does. (The 'obvious' invocation `ssh

Decoding error: fingerprint unset in streaminfo block
Using Trader's Little Helper 2.4.1.160 when testing some 16/96 FLAC files I run into the following error: "file is decodable without error, but flac fingerprint cannot be checked since it was unset in the streaminfo block." Is there an automatic checksum verification when testing/decoding? Is there any way to fix this, i.e. get rid of the error? Martin
