Flashing SLOF on IBM JS20 (Thamesblue supercomputer)
Hi,
We are trying to set up XEN testbed on Thamesblue Supercomputer which has
IBM JS20 Blades. I compiled the SLOF firmware from the source on one of the
blade. The compilation went smooth and generated the following binaries
*boot_rom.bin
boot_rom_bimini.bin*
When we try to flash boot_rom.bin firmware binary then we get the following
error:
* update_flash: RTAS: validate() Invalid candidate

Village Idiot (esq) again: My DNS is not working
I spoke too soon in my last email. My DNS is not working.
The host commands from the AD DC how-to all fail with NXDOMAIN.
nslookup says server can't find nikola.ozco.home. Basically the same
message.
Here is a dump of my many tries.

CentOS Mirrors and Adjacent country groups
CentOS has developed our own mirrorlist and isolist applications and
inside this application, we have some countries that we shift to other
countries and we also have some country groups defined.
The purpose of these groupings is to have adjacent countries grouped
together for applications like fastest mirror and others.
I will put here what we currently have and ask the community to vet the

Soyntec Sekury A600 VA
Hi all!
FYI, after some research in your list I think that blazer_usb is the
best driver for my Soyntec Sekury A600 UPS (which is not in the
hardware supported lists). I connected it with my system using USB
port (it also has serial RS-232) This is the report I have:
battery.voltage: 13.60
battery.voltage.nominal: 12.0
beeper.status: enabled
device.type: ups
driver.name: blazer_usb

apply family functions
Hi all,
I would like to flag each record in the data according to certain conditions
as specified below.
For example,
If "Close_date" in *dat* is between ("Open" & "Close") or ("Open1" &
"Close1") or ("Open2" & "Close2") in *oc, *flag the records as "Valid",
otherwise "Invalid"
I would like to

[PATCH v4 4/7] v2v: -o libvirt: use a Lazy for the connection
Store the Libvirt.Connect.t object as instance variable, so it can be
used also outside of prepare_targets. Use a private method to access
it, so there is no need to directly use the Lazy object.

[PATCH] v2v: make virsh command quiet if v2v is quiet (RHBZ#1358142)
Pass -q to virsh if virt-v2v was run with -q, to reduce its output in
quiet mode.
Unfortunately this does not currently work in virsh as it should, see
RHBZ#1358179, so only after that bug is fixed this change can actually
take effect.

[PATCH] v2v: -o libvirt: always write pool names (RHBZ#1141631)
When creating the XML for the new guest, always put the name of the pool
containing the disks, even when -os specified a pool UUID: libvirt does
not handle pool UUIDs for storage, but only names.

[PATCH 5/5] v2v: Add -o rhv-upload output mode.
PROBLEMS:
- Spools to a temporary disk
- Need to specify direct/indirect upload via flag
- Location of ca.pem
- Target cluster
- Delete disks on failure, or rename disks on success?
- Handling of sparseness in raw format disks
This adds a new output mode to virt-v2v. virt-v2v -o rhv-upload
streams images directly to an oVirt or RHV >= 4 Data Domain using the
oVirt SDK v4. It is more

ssh(1) documentation for -L and -R
I found that the documentation for -L and -R was hard to understand.
So I made some changes to try to make it clearer. I started with Revision
1.328 from http://www.openbsd.org/cgi-bin/cvsweb/src/usr.bin/ssh/ssh.1
Comments welcome.

scp.1
A few people have commented that the synopsis in 'man 1 scp' is a
bit difficult for humans to parse. I attach a diff between the
distributed version and mine:
(I suppose this should really go to the OpenBSD maintainers, but I
wanted a little feedback about whether this was better or not.)
Thanks,

Question about -b mode of sftp(1) and auto-chdir behaviour
Hello,
i'm curious to know wether the automatic chdir behaviour of sftp(1)
in batch mode is a side-effect of the current implementation, or
if it's instead a regular feature. And, if it's indeed the latter,
wether there is any compatibility problem if one would actually
rely on it?
I'll attach a copy+paste diff to document this nice feature in
sftp.1, just for the hoped-for case.
