tinc 1.1: freeaddrinfo(NULL) crash on windows
On Windows, freeaddrinfo(NULL) will result in a segv. In
get_recent_address(), there is the following block of code:
if(cache->aip) {
sockaddr_t *sa = (sockaddr_t *)cache->aip->ai_addr;
cache->aip = cache->aip->ai_next;
if(!cache->aip) {
freeaddrinfo(cache->aip);

Nouveau and Debian Unstable
I recently compiled the drm and nouveau modules on Debian unstable. All went
well until I had to insert the drm module, I recieved to following error:
insmod: error inserting 'drm.ko': -1 Unknown symbol in module
I have compiled the modules before and I have always gotten this same error.
Here is the log of my build:
debian:/home/michael/drm# ./autogen.sh --prefix=/usr && make

Windows 98 logon server problem
Hi,
I have Samba version 2.2.7 up and running as a PDC for several
Windows 2000/XP clients, as well as file sharing working. However, when
I try to use it as a Win9X logon server, I can not seem to make it work.
Whenever I try to logon from the Win98 computer, I get the error
message "Incorrect Parameter" (in windows) and get the following message
in the nmbd.log file:

I4L CallerID not working
Can anyone work out why my callerid doesn't work on my isdn4Linux with
asterisk (or without asterisk for that matter)...
This used to work fine, and I am quite confident that the telco is sending
callerid information (because they always do on all ISDN lines standard,
only extra cost on POTS lines).
This is the information from dmesg, whether asterisk is running or not:
isdn_net: Incoming

Strange console call problem
Hi,
When I dial from my sip device to the extension 1234 which is linked to
the ALSA console driver the call fails with the message "No channel type
registered for 'ALSA'" (see below).
I would like to have the console autoanswer for paging.
However when I call from the console to the sip device the call
completes fine.
I alias alsa device hw:1,0 to card1 in /etc/asound.conf

Trouble with composed_of
I''m trying to use composed_of within my model. I have a field in my
database named ''card1'', which is simply a string. I have this in my
model
class Player < ActiveRecord::Base
composed_of :card1, :class_name => ''Card''
end
class Card
attr_reader :value, :suit
def initialize(s)
@value = s[0].chr
@suit = s[1].chr
end

Workgroup/Domain Browsing
I am currently running samba on a Redhat 8.0 server, and it is working great. Keep up the good work guys!
My question involves a VPN connection to the server on a different network segment. I have the following setup:
Internal Network - 192.168.13.0/24

Red Hat Samba Server - 192.168.13.3 - aip-ky

eps embedded fonts again
Dear friends,
I am sorry, I again rise that boring question about font embedding in
EPS figure.
I found some discussions on this topic but there were no strait solution.
The publisher (AIP) demands submission of separate EPS file
for each figure with all fonts embedded in it (even the standard
14 Adobe fonts).
As I understand the R does not do this embedding. It inserts only
comments what font

Quad monitor graphics card.
Hi there,
I have 4 identical monitors. So I decided to buy (not to expensive,
around 100USD) quad head graphics card. I do not need anything
particular. Only office applications, no gaming. The crucial thing is
that I would like to be able to span a single window across all 4
monitors. I found following cards:
Nvidia Quadro NVS440
Nvidia Quadro NVS420
Both are actually dual GPU. Could you

Determine IP addres of a AIP/IAX user
Hello all!
Is there any possibility to determine the IP address of a caller in my
dialplan?
I would like to have a predefined channel variable like ${CALLER_IP} but
it seems it doesn't exist
(http://www.voip-info.org/wiki-Asterisk+Variables) .. is this list
complete?
Are there any other possibility to store the SIP/IAX caller's IP address
on every call?
Thanks

[nut-hal-drivers] Battery level is not correct for Ippon Back Comfo Pro UPS with Megatec protocol.
Hello,
I'm trying to get my UPS working with nut-hal-drivers, and it seems be detected
correctly with Megatec protocol, but it provides wrong battery level.
I read that I can use battvolts option to fix this problem, but HAL version of
nut does not come with any config files. So, I'm guess it should be somehow
fixed in sources?

These objects aren''t equal..I''m confused
I''m testing to see if two objects are equal. One is accessed directly
from the fixture, and the other is accessed through a relationship.
Here''s the test:
def test_hero
assert_equal players(:hero), hands(:first).hero
end
Anyway, the values are exactly the same as far as I can tell. The
only difference is the object id, but Ruby compares the values, right?

The fix leads to a use after free bug which is visible on macOS.
It doesn't seem to be much of a problem on most
