Recommend verification
I recommend someone verify that tar.gz and tar.xz files ( at https://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/utils/boot/syslinux/ ) unpack without errors. (I assume use of compression is in hope of saving download bandwidth) Regards

Hi, Try running menu.c32 from Syslinux 4.06 under qemu -vga none without disabling console output, for example: SERIAL 0 SAY ls menu LABEL ls COM32 ls.c32 LABEL menu COM32 menu.c32 This invocation works well: $ qemu -hda extlinux.img -serial stdio But this fails after invoking "menu": $ qemu -hda extlinux.img -serial stdio -vga none Syslinux 5.xx and 6.xx does not exhibit this

support xattr, quota on RHEL5 of OCFS2 1.4
Hi I'd like to know if OCFS2 1.4 on RHEL5 with the REDHAT latest kernel supports disk quotas, the xattr and acl. I could have done something wrong but only the acl seem to work. Apparently instead on FC12, where support is enabled in the kernel itself OCFS grep / boot / config * CONFIG_OCFS2_FS = m CONFIG_OCFS2_FS_O2CB = m CONFIG_OCFS2_FS_USERSPACE_CLUSTER = m # CONFIG_OCFS2_FS_STATS is

Syslinux 4.10-pre20
I think I finally have nailed down the problems with TFTP on the 4.10 branch, and so I have released 4.10-pre20. Please let me know if you have hardware on which 4.05/4.06-pre3 works, and 4.10-pre20 does not. -hpa -- H. Peter Anvin, Intel Open Source Technology Center I work for Intel. syslinux PXE boot version upgrade, network no longer working
Thanks Ady. I have to stick with stable vs. experimental but I appreciate the Debian suggestion. I don't mean to troll anyone, but... how is 6.03 considered stable if it does not correctly support keeppxe? I have to go all the way back to 4.xx for this to be supported? Wow. I still couldn't find it in the docs online where it states keeppxe doesn't work. I have some "detail

I'm confused by this: > > ... then you need to reset your bisect and use that "Release x.x.xx" as your first good bisect (wine-x.x.xx). This particular bisect output is just a version tag, meaning that no real code was changed (and so cannot have made your problem appear). All the "good" bisects you've set tells GIT that all that code is good, until wine-x.x.xx

Confused with an error message related to "plotrix" library in the newer versions of R.
Dear R Users, Greetings! I am confused with an error message related to "plotrix" library in the newer versions of R. I used to run an R script without fail in the earlier versions (R 2.8.1) of R; but the same script is now throwing up an error message in the newer versions (Now I have R 2.13.0 & R 2.14.0). Herewith I am furnishing the same code for your perusal. It would

Mounting mpath devices in RHEL 5
I'm seeing some strange behavior from OCFS2 while trying to mount mpath/dm-multipath devices under RHEL5. Sometimes I can mount the EMC-connected, dual-pathed volumes just fine and sometimes I get "device busy" errors. I've tried mounting by label and also by explicit /dev/mapper/mpathXpY name with the same unpredictable behavior. I've also noticed that sometimes when a
