connection will remain a TCP connection unless it is broken and restarted.
Usually if I stop the client and wait for about 30 seconds to reconnect,
there is a much greater chance that the MTU probes work fine, and in about
30 seconds MTU is fixed to 1416.
Every time when the MTU probing fails, I see latency between 700 - 1000 ms
with 32 byte pings over a LAN.

Unable to get IP address from DHCP on remote end.
Hi all,
I followed the guide "simple-bridging-with-dhcp", which has two parts:
http://www.tinc-vpn.org/examples/simple-bridging-with-dhcp-server-side/
http://www.tinc-vpn.org/examples/simple-bridging-with-dhcp-client-side/
I have altered two things to fit my needs, 1) DHCP server(host:pek1) is on client side ethernet, so I have bridged eth0 and tun1 together; 2) Network/Server/Client

Hello!
I am attempting to get tinc running between two machines and would
appreciate any guidance one could lend. I have read through all of the

tinc and wireless mesh
Hello!
I'm trying to make a wireless mesh network with b.a.t.m.a.n. protocol,
and I would like to secure the wireless links with tinc. My test network
is 2 wireless routers with OpenWRT Kamikaze firmware, and the network
topology is the following:
|CLIENT|eth0: 192.168.180| <--> |eth0: 192.168.1.1|MESH-NODE|ath0:
192.168.5.54| <~~> |ath0: 192.168.5.51|GW|eth1: 192.168.1.51|

routerA is a NAT router to the internet, for two networks on two interfaces. This are the two networks:

tinc config(?) problems
I'm having a bit of a problem getting tinc up and running between a pair of
RedHat (one 6.0, the other 6.1) boxes. It's installed and configured to the
point where they can connect, but I'm not seeing any traffic passing
between the two systems.
System A looks like -

# Insert your own ip numbers instead of the placeholders,

Bridge not forwarding multicast traffic to the tap interface
I have a Debian 8 64-bit machine set up as a server and apt-got the tinc
package. I configured tinc as a bridge and everything seems normal except
that the tunnel does not forward multicast traffic.
I used tcpdump to examine the br0, eth0 and tap interfaces. I could see
multicast packets on both br0 and eth0, but there is no such packet present
on the tap interface. I don't quite know why

help with routing and multiple subnets
Gents, first of all thanks for tinc, and thanks in advance for your advice.
At the risk of revealing my stupidity and opening myself to ridicule....
I am trying to connect a new remote lan into an existing tinc vpn with
the central tinc vpn server located at 10.57.132.1 on the 10.57.132.0/24

Trouble adding 2nd vpn
So I am attempting to add a 2nd vpn to my existing setup and for some reason
I can't seem to get it to work quite right.
The issue I'm having right now is successful execution of the tinc-up
script. It's probably something obvious but after several days I still
don't see what I'm missing. I can see in syslog that
"Script tinc-up exited with non-zero status 1"

Basic configuration problem
Hello,
I have been reading through the documentation and trying to set up a very
small VPN as a test for a larger rollout that I would like to complete in
the future but cannot get this working. The configuration seems like it
should be relatively simple, so I'm most likely missing something basic but
I just cannot see what I'm doing wrong. At the moment I am trying to get
this working

No internet in the second DomU
Hello,
I have problems with installation of my second DomU. I cannot
ping it from the outside world and I cannot access outside world
from this domain. I see it from Dom0 and my first DomU, same as
my second DomU can ping Dom0 and my first DomU.
I use xen 3.0.3 on ubuntu 6 LTS. DomU is running on debian.
I also network-bridge script in the xend config.
