I've installed Redhat 6.2 onto a pc, and then installed the latest 2.2 kernel: 2.2.18 from source code (The usual make menuconfig ; make dep ; make bzImage , etc). I've followed the tinc instructions for adding the

libcurl issue when manually installing R-3.3.3 on Debian 3.16.0-4-amd64
Dirk, I appreciate that you were trying to help, but I would suggest you don't answer a question if you find it irritating or think it is posed by someone who hasn't taken the time to figure things out on his own... others might be able to spare a bit more time and be more patient, however basic the question is. There is a lot of material covered in the page and I found your "read

How to set symbolic link correctly so that LaTeX finds Sweave?
Hi, I recently switched from Mac OS X (after 7 years) to Xubuntu 12.04 and I am quite happy with it so far. I first installed R from source but I was somehow missing certain things and I thus decided (after a new Xubuntu installation which I had to make due to other reasons) to install R the "Ubuntu way": ,----[ R installation: ] | 1) sudo emacs /etc/apt/sources.list | 2) add: | deb

Notes on libguestfs with Ubuntu 12.04 (Precise)
Ubuntu are now supplying a libguestfs package (or to be more accurate, they are just copying the Debian package) but it doesn't work out of the box. There is a bug in apt which we worked around in febootstrap 3.14, but the supplied version of febootstap is only 3.12. Hence you will get errors like this during installation: febootstrap: aptitude: error: no file was downloaded corresponding
