Don't forget to test with the georep key. I think it was /var/lib/glusterd/geo-replication/secret.pem

Hi Anant,

Is it possible to set up multi-level puppet nodes?
Hi,
I am new in puppet, and I just wonder whether it is possible to create
multiple levels of puppet masters. Can puppet work this way?
First-level(master): root-master
Second-level(masters): master1, master2
Third-level nodes(as agents): agent1, agent2, agent3, agent4
All master nodes in the second-level are agents of root-master, and
each of third-level

multiple puppet masters
Hi,
I would like to set up an additional puppet master but have the CA server
handled by only 1 puppet master. I have set this up as per the
documentation here:
http://docs.puppetlabs.com/guides/scaling_multiple_masters.html
I have configured my second puppet master as follows:
[main]
...
ca = false
ca_server = puppet-master1.test.net
I am using passenger so I am a bit confused how the

Speed problem
Mermgfurt !
I have some problem with syncing two machines which are connected
over a Gigabit-connection. I'm trying to use rsync with ssh because of
the authorisation mechanisms (keys). It starts quite ok with 18 MB/s
(this small speed may have something to do with our internal net)
and falls down to 400 KB/s (!!!). This happens over a long period
because those files I want to copy are very

It turns out that if I enable this option:

The issue no longer persists. I have to manually expunge the kept mails that have been deleted via pop3 though:

decentralised vpn with dynamic ips
Hello.
I am using the current 1.0 stable.
I have tinc daemons on different dynamic ip connections.
They have ports forwarded.
They are using switch mode.
I have 1 box which has dynamic dns set up.
I would like everyone to use that for bootstrapping using ConnectTo.
However I do NOT want that host to tunnel all traffic due to downtimes and bandwidth limitations.
Can i get tinc to share the ips

Help with mixed-effects model with temporal pseudoreplication!
Sorry if this is the wrong ml for this question, I am new to R. I am
trying to use R to analyze the data from my thesis experiment and I am
having troubles accounting for the pseudoreplication properly from
having each participant repeat each treatment combination (combination
of fixed factors) 5 times. The design of the experiment is as

Multiple default gateway from tinc node
Hi, Tinc expert
If there’re multiple tinc nodes announce default route in their host configuration of Subnet = 0.0.0.0/0, how for the remaining nodes to select which is the best route to get out?
All of them participant in the same tinc net.
I did some test, like A as the branch, B,C,D as the nodes to announce default route; when all up , A select B, but if B down, A will go C, C down, A will

Switched tinc VPN question
Hello World,
I have met tinc a few days ago and started with a simple connection
between 2 machines. I have fallen in love witht tinc, it's very simple
to configure, although I haven't used tinc in production yet, because of
its simplicity I think it's very robust. I also like how the
configuration is organized with hosts/ directory, up/down scripts. Thank
you for such a great tool.

Second VPN network fails to start
Hello Lars,
Thanks for your feedback. Unfortunately I made an error in writing the network I expected to connect to. I meant 10.3.0.0/24 The one I wrote in fact was one network of the already established VPN. I have included full details of my relevant files below.
Background: I am trying to set up a second VPN between two servers: gtdb and db2. Both servers are already part of separate

Graceful shutdown doesn't stop all Gluster processes
Hello Everyone,
I am using GlusterFS 9.4, and whenever we use the systemctl command to stop the Gluster server, it leaves many Gluster processes running. So, I just want to check how to shut down the Gluster server in a graceful manner.
Is there any specific sequence or trick I need to follow? Currently, I am using the following command:
[root at master2 ~]# systemctl stop glusterd.service

Multiple default gateway from tinc node
Hi, Lars
Thanks for your suggestion, will give it a try later to see how it performs.
But, yesterday, I did a below test:
A ConnectTo B and C, B ConnectTo D, C ConnectTo D; All nodes turned "IndirectData" on in its host configuration, so the tunnel only follow metacomnection instead of direct connect.
D announced default route by having the Subnet = 0.0.0.0/0 statement in its host
