R-Forge?
Hello! I have recently found RForge.net (http://www.rforge.net/) by Simon Urbanek and found out today that the site is accepting subscriptions. Great! However, browsing a bit on the site I found a link to another forge: R-Forge (http://r-forge.r-project.org/). Is/will the last one be the "offcial" forge for R packages, given that it has domain r-project.org? Regards, Gregor

Hi, I'm using Centos 5 (64bit) and connected an APC battery to the server and used the USB cable for monitoring this setup, but I can't find the apc daemon anymore in the offcial yum repo's. Has aocd become obsolete and has it been replaced by something else or do i need to add a third party repo? kind regards, euroka -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was

Samba, Debian and upgrade path...
Yesterday, after a long run, i've finally upgraded my DCs to stretch/samba4.9, using Louis repos. Hurrah! ;-) Looking forward, eg: http://apt.van-belle.nl/debian/dists/ seems to me that i can advance to 4.10 in stretch, but to go further i need buster (probably because of python deps, right?). Louis, i think we need a matrix of debian-samba compatibility... ;-) -- dott. Marco Gaiarin

Show the subnets learnt and update configuration without reset?
1. Is there any tools/command, we can show the subnet where a certain tinc nodes learnt? So that I can know the weight for certain subnet(in real time), instead of go back to the node’s (who advertise the subnet) configuration file to check. 2. So far in order to change the weight of a subnet, or something else, I have to reset the tinc daemon( tincd -k -n myvpn and then tincd -n myvpn) in

tinc detects itself on the VPN due to intermittent connection problems, and dies
A relatively recent update (1-2 months) has introduced a fairly major issue where connection issues seem to cause tinc to decide that there's another node of the same name on the VPN, leading to it quitting. It seems that it's detecting itself somehow, through an older connection, perhaps? The daemon stopping itself is a major problem, though, as it has to be manually restarted. I would

R-Forge
Hello Gregor, Yes, R-Forge.R-project.org will be the official forge for the R Community. But we have to fix a few things before we are going public. If you like you can participate and help us testing. If you have a package or a devel version of your package you're welcome to use SVN provided by R-Forge. For further questions please contact me or R-Forge at R-project.org. Regards,

ping: Bad Code: 6
Still experimenting with the automesh function. In the midst of that, I encountered a new problem. Of the 6 linux boxes in my tinc VPN, 3 were RedHat 9, 1 was Suse 9 Pro, 1 was Fedora Core 1, and one was RedHat 8.0. All was well. They were running a mix of the static binary and locally compiled-from-source binaries. I updated two of the RedHat 9 boxes to Fedora Core 1, about 3 days

[cfe-dev] Shortest RFC ever: I propose we rename files using `.TXT` extension to use `.txt`
I mean, I can try to get these to not be "renames" in svn... but surely modern windows SVN clients handle this correctly? (and git clienst?) TCPOnly is required since 1.0.13?
Hi, I upgraded some of my Tinc nodes from 1.0.8 recently and found something strange. All of a sudden, the vpn would not work as a full-mesh. Certain nodes were not contactable. I re-generated my rsa-keys, and checked my configuration. My vpn uses the following in tinc.conf, as I am routing both ipv4 and v6. === name = node1 mode = switch AddressFamily = any PMTU = 1280 PMTUDiscovery = yes

NFS4 over tinc hangs
Hello, I am experiencing system hangs when running NFSv4 over a tinc VPN. I don't know if the problem is with NFS or tinc and would appreciate any suggestions on how to narrow down the culprit. Unfortunately I cannot simply run NFS directly over TCP -- the participating systems are connected only over an open network. The configuration is as follows: I have a master server

RSpec-1.0.8
The RSpec Development Team is pleased to announce the release of RSpec-1.0.8. RSpec 1.0.6 is the "holy cow, batman, it''s been a long time since we released and there are a ton of bug fixes, patches and even new features" release. RSpec 1.0.7 and 1.0.8 deal with a regression introduced in 1.0.6 and a hiccup in releasing 1.0.7, respectively. == RSpec RSpec is a Behaviour Driven

SIP calls no longer hangup [1.0.8]
Hi, I've just upgraded by asterisk box from 1.0.7 to 1.0.8 / 1.0.9. I'm running Gentoo, and in the UK, on a BT PSTN line. The box has been running more or less fine for several months. Since upgrading asterisk has been failing to hangup inbound / outbound calls. I've kept my original config files. The sequence of events is roughly: - Place call from a cisco 7940 through the
