Network isolation - PCI passthrough question
Hello, I thinking about using PCI passthrough to dedicated a domU as firewall. I understand PCI passthrough concept. When done, my domU will see network card and the dom0 won''t any more. So I''ll be able to filter all trafic from outside, since it will go through network domU. Then, how will I be able to connect other domU (and maybe dom0) to the network domU ? In a normal way,

Trying to get games running
Hi, there are 2 games I want to get up and running, they are Alpha Centauri and HOMM3. I would buy AC if it was available at a decent price. I have installed both from original CD, from Wine. My problems are: HOMM3: Comes up with a warning: Unable to initialize resources, possible disk problem. Can't remember if it is protected. This version was upgraded to version 1.4 by the installer.

Re: Portal 2 can't run setup EXE
Hello, i found this thread when searching for answer on question "Why portal2's etup.exe doesn't run?" And i found solution! Now hear: the setup.exe will die with "access violation on 00409B2A " if you are trying to run it from FAT32 or NTFS partition. I don't know why, but it is true. So, move the installer's files to the Linux-kind partition (ext2, ext3,

Help with changing defaulot netowrk device
Hello, I've recently made a post where I talked about Age Of Empires III. Well, at the moment, I have an issue with this exact same game. The drivers for my wireless adapter create an extra netowkr device, named wmaster0. This means that when I go to the game, it recons my IP as 255.255.255.255, so inb theory I'd just have to ifconfig down every extra device to leave wlan0 as the only

So basically you would store a generation number in the tree that gets incremented by a call to io_del()? Multiples rsyncs with multiple sshs...CPU overload
Hello Folks, I am using rsync 2.4.6 over ssh on Solaris 2.6 machines. It's been working great for months keeping three DMZ ftp servers in sync...now, though, I am trying to implement a new solution with DMZ and "inside" ftp servers. Basically, I want to sync files being ftp'ed to the DMZ server over to an "inside" machine, and since some processing (decryption) then

tinc 1.1: missing PONG
Here's a diff to call WSAWaitForMultipleEvents() repeatedly to check for events other than the first one returned. I've also added a map of io_t to events[] index so avoid the need for splay_search(). The value of event_count will change if a callback adds an event so we need to handle that. I've added a generation number to the splay tree head that gets incremented by io_del().

tinc 1.1: missing PONG
I've noticed that on Windows during large transfers (such as an iperf run), the receiving end sometimes fails to respond to a PING. When this happens, the sender closes the connection and both ends have to renegotiate. My theory is that, due to the properties of the splay tree, the TAP device event is almost always at the head of the tree and thus if there is traffic, that event will be

Linux to Windows Tinc Issue
Hello, I am having troubles with the following configuration in that it produces the following errors: *Masterserver:* On the server (yea, I know) side is a Linux machine called "*masterserver*". It should have a VPN IP of 192.168.2.1 and it sits behind a pretty generic ADSL Router (with port 655 forwarded) which can be found via a dynamic host address. A small snippet of errors this
