[PATCH 2/2] setup_outgoing_connection: log to LOG_DEBUG on if no known address
With AutoConnect = yes, tinc tries to establish connections to known hosts. However, you could have set no Address for this host, which is perfectly fine (as long as there is at least one bootstrap node with an address or a local discovered node already part of the network) So log this to LOG_DEBUG --- src/net_socket.c | 2 +- 1 file changed, 1 insertion(+), 1 deletion(-) diff --git

Branches (again)
A long long time ago, I asked about the different tinc branches. Guus, you said at the time that * trunk is 1.0, bugfixes only * 1.0-gnutls, POKEY, and pre4-cube are stagnant * 2.0 is where new work should happen...at the time, it didn't compile, and it appears it still doesn't This answer discouraged me; I have trouble getting excited about new work in a branch that's been

tincctl patches
(Second try to send this. I wonder if the first one gotten eaten by a spam filter; I'll link to patches instead of attaching them.) Here are the tincctl patches I've been working on. They apply to http://www.tinc-vpn.org/svn/tinc/branches/1.1@1545. I intend to commit them once the crypto stuff's fixed. Since they're basically done, I'm emailing them now for review and in case

plot multiple data sets on same axis
I'm new to R and struggling to reproduce graphs I've made with gnuplot. Example here: http://www.slamb.org/tmp/one-active.png I have three different data sets plotted on the same axis. (I also have a number of samples for each X value which I displayed with quartiles rather than plotting every point; that will likely be the subject of my next question.) My attempts to do this in R:

Aselia the Eternal crash
At first glance, the game ran fine with winetricks mfc42 However an hour into the game it crashes (consistently) immediately following the closing of a certain scene. I've put up the console output HERE (http://pastebin.com/U3vzBKJW). This shows up the moment of the crash, with a crashdialog. I'm on Linux Mint 11 32bit using WINE 1.3.35 Any ideas what's wrong?

grumble/gripe ... fifo: read fault ... channel 12 killed! (eternal freeze-frame)
Twice now with v4.15-rc6, my display has gone belly up. Note: swiotlb: suppress warning when __GFP_NOWARN is set v2 is applied, but I don't _think_ it was the first time it happened. Why we don't have eternal optimizers?
Hi everyone, Lately I've been thinking of the optimization model of almost any optimizer ever. The optimizer should finish "at a reasonable time". For example, for a 20k lines program, the optimizer should finish in a couple of minutes and not e.g. a couple of days. And my question is, why? For almost all programs, the period that starts when the program starts being developed to

Audio quality
I'm a new Asterisk user. I've managed to set it up to do everything I want except sound good. Currently, Asterisk sounds considerably worse than my cell phone. I know VOIP can be _better_ than my cell phone, because I've heard Skype do it. (Using 32k iLBC, I believe.) I did an experiment with audio quality: 1) I made a recording which was pretty good. I used an iSight

CentOS 5 debuginfo packages?
Where are the debuginfo packages for CentOS 5? I see from <http:// lists.centos.org/pipermail/centos/2007-April/078307.html> that CentOS 4 ones are at <http://vault.centos.org/>, but I don't see any for CentOS 5. Am I just looking too soon after the release? Is this where they'll land? Thanks, Scott -- Scott Lamb <http://www.slamb.org/>

Branches
I've got more changes on my to-do list, but I want to ensure I'm making my changes against the right branch. * I'm working with trunk now. I don't think its TCP tunneling is as secure as the UDP tunneling. It looks like its IVs and HMACs are added and verified in send_udppacket and receive_udppacket. The TCP connection encrypts but doesn't have these anti-modification

[PATCH] Maintain outgoing TCP meta buffer
Here's a patch that does the steps I mentioned in my last email: - remove BlockingTCP - make send_meta return true on EWOULDBLOCK - add logic to main_loop to watch for write availability of meta connections with non-empty buffers and flush them. It fixes the extra packets with TCPOnly and should resolve the problems that made BlockingTCP necessary also. (No testing of that last bit.)

Bugginess since crypto changes
I'm looking over the tinc-1.1 branch again. I'm getting some errors that I haven't been able to track down yet. tinc sometimes crashes either on its own (I think after a timeout has fired?) or when I hit ctrl-C. I've seen a few different behaviors in particular, as reported by valgrind. Dumps below. I suspected the bufferevent changes, but I haven't gotten any revision before

Problems setting up Samba+LDAP PDC in Debian Sarge
Dear list, I have been struggling to get working a PDC using Samba with LDAP backend, in a fresh Debian Sarge install. 1. SeMachineAccountPrivilege I'm reading IDEALX's Linux Samba-OpenLDAP Howto as guidance. In my last attempt, everything appeared to be fine until the very end, the Integration test, when I added an admin user, got it on the "Domain Admin" and then tried to

problem with logger
Hello, I am logging directly into file and also to syslog. Here is snippet from my /etc/asterisk/logger.conf: messages => notice, warning, error, verbose syslog.local0 => notice, warning, error, verbose But the logs look different: VERBOSE[7609][C-00000013] pbx.c: NOTICE[3042] chan_sip.c: Peer '1111' is now UNREACHABLE! vs. VERBOSE[7609][C-00000013]: pbx.c:2925 in

[PATCH 1/2] (read|append)_config_file: log open errors as LOG_DEBUG
In a "decentrally managed vpn" it is very likely that host config files for some reachable nodes do not exist. Currently, tinc fills the logs with "Cannot open config file" messages. This commit changes the log level to LOG_DEBUG so syslog doesn't get filled by default. --- src/conf.c | 4 ++-- 1 file changed, 2 insertions(+), 2 deletions(-) diff --git a/src/conf.c

7206 as SIP->PSTN Gateway?
All, I know you can use, say, a 2620 w/2 port FXO card as a SIP gateway. Clearly you can use the 5300, 5800, and MGX8850 too. Does anyone know which cards, if any, exist for a 7206VXR to act in a similar capacity, either as a T1/PRI, DS3, or POTS FXO/FXS? What other Cisco routers can act as SIP gateways today? Thanks, Dave
