Once again.Tinc for gaming
Howdy, I would like to bring this topic up again. Gaming via tinc. We use tinc-1.0.16 on Linux, Win7 and WinXP so far. Setup was pretty straight forward. All the nodes have mode set to switch and subnet to 10.0.0.0/24. Ping works, smb shares work. Everything seems fine BUT connecting ingame only works with 1 out of 5 games. In some games, we see each other in the lobby. I conclude, that UDP

Dial plan suggestions
Hello all, I've been asked to look into my home dial plan to see if I can improve it by an important customer (my wife). What we would like to have happen is that an inbound call rings all the phones (This is done). Once one phone picks up, of course all the others stop ringing (Also done). Here's the gotcha. She doesnt like having to "transfer" calls to another phone;

subsetting a dataframe
How does one remove a column from a data frame when the name of the column to remove is stored in a variable? For Example: colname <- "LOT" newdf <- subset(olddf, select = - colname) The above statement will give an error, but thats what I'm trying to accomplish. If I had used: newdf <- subset(olddf, select = - LOT) then it would have worked, but as I said the column

Weird arp behavior
Hi all, So, I've deployed Tinc in a non normal manor to which has been working just fine for days up until recent. Here is a description of the network. There are two VPN host controllers, A and B. All nodes have a separate connection to A and B. Tinc has been configured to be in 'switch' mode for both the A cloud and B cloud. On the back end, I have OSPF running on all nodes and

Asterisk 1.4 and Cepstral
Greetings, I've recently upgraded from Asterisk 1.2 to 1.4. I've been searching for a solution, but am also trying the easy way at the same time. I've now got David of Cepstral now speaking using app_swift from http://www.mezzo.net/asterisk/app_swift.html . The problem is, he sounds way worse than he did when it was asterisk version 1.2. I'm seriously considering either

"context confusion" internal context 2 context only?
I'm trying to create several contexts for extentions with different levels of access to features and I'm wondering how the heck do I include all the contexts so that you can call internal to any extention in another context without giving the features of the higher level context to the lower level context? ie..... [admin] include => local include => longdistance include =>

SAMBA and 2 form factor auth
Hi All, I havent heard a response back to my previous posts so I am now trying from a "broader" topic. What I have is the following: A 2 Form Factor Token Authentication system similar to RSA SecureID A Linux SAMBA 3.0.14a-Debian I've got the two systems authenticating against each other with RADIUS via PAM support. When I tell SAMBA to use this PAM support as well, I see the

Samba and CUPS Config Issue
We are trying to migrate from Samba/LPRng to Samba/CUPS and have hit some snags. We're using the Samba box as a print server for our corporate network, and have a variety of Windows versions on the network. The problem we're having is with our Windows 95 clients. Win95 uses the printer comment when it maps to the printer on the server. However, when we connect to a printer, we no

Safe Harbor Games : Backgammon - Almost works with Wine
Safe Harbor Games (http://www.safeharborgames.net/) is a popular site in the backgammon community. I am one of several people trying to get the game server to work on Linux with Wine. I am using a Asus EEE 1000HE with the latest version of Easy Peasy (Ubuntu) and Wine. The game software requires browser to launch and I was successful in getting this to work by loading windows version of

MoH mysteriously stopped working
Folks, I have somewhat of a serious issue here. My music on hold mysteriously stopped working. I have made no changes to my Asterisk box in the past month and up until an hour ago, MoH was working fine (as far as I know). CLI: -- Started music on hold, class 'default', on channel 'IAX2/lobby-2' -- Stopped music on hold on IAX2/lobby-2 voip*CLI> moh reload voip*CLI> 1

Errors linking with LLVM 5.0 - dump() missing
Or, instead of lobbying for llvm to always define dump(), you could lobby for it to enabled by default. PAM vs smbpasswd oddity
Hi Folks, so now I've managed to trick the authentication server to caching the one time passwords for me. I'm down to the last two problems: 1. Something odd that I've noticed is that when I use PAM authentication Windows clients are outright refused. When I enable "encrypted" passwords, therefor disabling PAM, I'm then able to log in but with the use of static

CryptoCard - PAM or RADIUS?
Greetings all, I'm working on attempting to get SAMBA to work with a product line called CryptoCard. I *should* be able to get it to work one of two ways, either through the use of CryptoCard's provided PAM module, or through RADIUS authentication. Currently, I cannot seem to get PAM authentication to work at all. This is what is in the 'samba' file for PAM: auth

In C, a fast way to slice a vector?
Hello, Suppose in the following code, PROTECT(sr = R_tryEval( .... )) sr is a RAWSXP vector. I wish to return another RAWSXP starting at position 13 onwards (base=0). I could create another RAWSXP of the correct length and then memcpy the required bytes and length to this new one. However is there a more efficient method? Regards Saptarshi Guha

[OT] Campfire problems
I''m getting bounced back the ''lobby'' every 30 seconds or so by an Ajax redirect. This is happening in a couple of accounts and browsers. FireBug showed me it was a poll.fcgi that occasionally came back with: chat.redirectTo(''/''); I realise this isn''t the right place, but figured I might find a campfire user or two to verify if
