doc generator now in CVS
Hi
Just a quick note to let you know that the Textile doc generation stuff
is now in CVS. There is a moderate amount of documentation in
rake/rakedoc.rb in case you feel like generating your own local copy.
The only prerequisite is the Ruby ''redcloth'' library.
There''s also some info in doc/lib which might be some help if you want
to tweak the output.
cheers

winbind and unix/nt login match use unix uid
Hi,
I'm on solaris 9, and using winbind to be a part of our NT domain.
I'm trying to determine if it's possible to configure winbind/smb so
that when the nt login name matches the unix login name the share is
mounted using their unix uid. With none matching account names,
username map works fine. It doesn't appear that "johnsmith =
johnsmith" works in the username map

Canonical way to generate RSpec HTML report in Rails app
Hi!
I was just wondering how you typically generate a spec HTML report in
a Rails app. Currently I''m doing something like this:
spec spec -f h:spec/spec_report.html
But that seems sort of clumsy and I would have thought that there was
a rake task for it. Have I overlooked something?
Thanks!

docs
Unless anyone''s got any objections I''m going to check the class docs
textile sources into SVN, for the ported classes at least. Think it
makes more sense to open these up to editing and patching by human than
trying to fix more edge cases in the latex translator.
We can always

Greek simbols in dialogs.
The problem is ... strange. When I'm using programs such as "Tottal commander", "Free commander", installing "hidden and dangerous deluxe" (free), letters in dialogs becomes Greek instead of Latin (you know those strange symbols from math formulas). So I don't understand what is written. How can I solve this?

Documentation for wxRuby
I have written an addon file for rake that turns the wxWidgets
documentation into something much more Ruby like. The code has not
been cleaned up or re-factored and needs some extra features added but
it does quite a bit already.
I have uploaded the generated documentation to my web site so people
can view it.

NTLM oddities
Started implementing the MasterUser changes to my config files so I can
finally offer SPA for pop3/imap.
Things are working fine with the MasterUser (horray!), however one of my
guys started using SPA with Outlook Express and started getting another
users mailbox.
Turns out to be related to NTLM. His Outlook express is configured for the
username of 'johnsmith'. However, you'll see

Voice Pulse
Hello:
I am new to the list. I am trying to set up asterisk with voicepulse. I
have a voicepulse username + password, and SIP DID. When I login to
voicepulse, I have this under my devices tab:

*Password:* xxxxxxxxxx
*Context:* VPWS
*Connects to:* gw5.voicepulse.com
My question is: Do I need a 2.4.x kernel? Currently I am running

group mapping on a member server
I have installed a Samba 3.025a PDC and 2 member servers. All on
solaris. (The Samba PDC replaced a NT4 PDC. Account data was
migrated with the "net vampire" command.) All solaris machines use
NIS. On the PDC i created group mappings between the NIS groups and
the Windows groups.
I can access file shares on all machines from Win XP or Win 2000
clients. On the security properties of

group mapping on a member server - winbindd and solaris 10
>From what I can tell it does look as if I have to run winbindd on
member servers, even if NIS is used, to get SID's mapping consistently
across the domain.
The PDC is Samba 3.025a on Solaris 10. Two member servers are Samba
3.025a on solaris 9.
If i start winbindd on a memv, the "wbinfo -u" and "wbinfo -g"
commands show my users and groups. However, the

Member server - group and user mapping with winbind
I now have one PDC (Samba 3.026a on Solaris 10) and several member servers
(including Samba 3.026a on Solaris 9 and 10, and Samba 3.024 on Fedora core
6.) Each machine uses NIS for unix accounts.
If I start smbd and nmbd on a member server, I can connect to a share from a
windows 2000 or XP client. If I look at the permissions on a folder, if
shows "Unix Account/someuser" or

Problems with voicepulse.com
Greetings,
I have been experimenting with Asterisk for a few weeks and finally
decided to
take the plunge and purchase a few DIDs for inbound calling. Our
attempts at
IAX/IAX2 connectivity with VoicePulse have been less than successful.
We get
"Registration Refused" errors from Asterisk whenever we launch the
server. The
front-line support folks at VoicePulse suggested that we are

unicorn 0.9.0 (experimental release)
Unicorn is a Rack HTTP server for Unix, fast clients and nothing else[1]
We now have support for "Transfer-Encoding: chunked" bodies in
requests. Not only that, Rack applications reading input bodies
get that data streamed off to the client socket on an as-needed
basis. This allows the application to do things like upload
progress notification and even tunneling of arbitrary stream
