Hello there, I was hoping that maybe one of you guys could help me out with a problem I'm experiencing with tinc1.0pre7. First, I'll start with my configuration, after that I'll explain my problem. Background ---------- This is a simple, client-server situation on a private network. Both machines run the same Debian Woody 3.0 testing installation and both have identical packages

Problem compiling tinc-1.0.8 on gcc-2.95
Hello. I found that anonymous structures does not work on gcc-2.95. If you guys want to support a bit older platforms I suggest fixing it. You can check out patch I created to fix this issue. I just added 2 extra structures to remove anonymous structs inside connection_status_t and node_status_t. Patch is here: ftp://borg.uu3.net/pub/unix/tinc/tinc.patch Attaching it as well. tincctl patches
(Second try to send this. I wonder if the first one gotten eaten by a spam filter; I'll link to patches instead of attaching them.) Here are the tincctl patches I've been working on. They apply to http://www.tinc-vpn.org/svn/tinc/branches/1.1@1545. I intend to commit them once the crypto stuff's fixed. Since they're basically done, I'm emailing them now for review and in case

Stochastic Gradient Ascent for logistic regression
Hi. guys, I am trying to write my own Stochastic Gradient Ascent for logistic regression in R. But it seems that I am having convergence problem. Am I doing anything wrong, or just the data is off? Here is my code in R - lbw <- read.table("http://www.biostat.jhsph.edu/~ririzarr/Teaching/754/lbw.dat" , header=TRUE) attach(lbw) lbw[1:2,] low age lwt race smoke ptl ht ui ftv

Specification change requests
Hi, as Conrad suggested, I've made a complete list of all points in the specification, which I beleive are errors, or where the explanation is unclear, contains unneccessary steps and so on. I hope someone has time to look through the points and if and when accepting or rejecting them be so very kind and inform me about it. I will also once again try to work through the residue

[PATCHv4 3/6] qemu/net: add raw backend
Add raw network backend option which uses a packet socket to provide raw networking access. Once the socket is opened it's bound to a provided host interface, such that packets received on the interface are delivered to the VM and packets sent by the VM are sent to the interface. This is functionally similar to the existing pcap network backend, with the same advantages and problems.

Wine on non-Unix platforms
Greetings everyone. Let me start by stating that I appreciate the enormous undertaking that Wine has been, and I am not suggesting that the ideas I will ask about in this post would be easy (or even possible) to implement, so there's no need to flame the n00b. As I understand it, Wine is an implementation of the Windows API for Linux and other Unix-like operating systems (Mac OS X, FreeBSD,

[Patch] Fix NAME variable in subnet-* scripts for local subnets.
Hi, attached is a patch that fixes that the NAME variable in subnet-up/down scripts for local subnets is not set. The reason for this was that there was a "hole" in the envp array in src/subnet.c:subnet_update(). If the subnet was local, envp[6] was NULL and the evaluation stoped there. Actually, the name string was leaking. This is easily fixed by changing the order in the array. I

Quadratic programming with semi-definite matrix
Hello. I'm trying to solve a quadratic programming problem of the form min ||Hx - y||^2 s.t. x >= 0 and x <= t using solve.QP in the quadprog package but I'm having problems with Dmat not being positive definite, which is kinda okay since I expect it to be numerically semi-definite in most cases. As far as I'm aware the problem arises because the Goldfarb and Idnani method first
