Routing and keying Questions
Hello!
I use tincd to interconnect 3 LANs: A, B and C. So long, it works fine:
everybody reaches everybody. But I want a different behavior: A and B should
be allowed to talk, as should B and C. I tried to simply delete the
host-files on the nodes that should not be allowed to talk to eachother:
A has a hostfile from B
B has a hostfile from A and C
C has a hostfile from B
But this is no

Routing between two tunnels
Hi!
Me and two friends are trying to get a VPN working, but we cant get routing
between two tunnels.
This is how it looks, all servers (192.168.*.1) are running IP Masquerade to
enable the other computers behind them to access the internet.
Both elayne and glenn are connecting to melc, and the tunnel between melc
and glenn are running TCPOnly because that glenn doesnt have a public IP

Don't wait too much time (for tincd)
Hi!
I'm in China now and my Internet connexion is very bad. I ever use the
best ADSL provider that I can have.
In some case (often), the connexion is lost. At the first time, tincd
will wait few time and retry. But, this delay is increased if the
connexion can't be made... so, it's quicker to kill tincd and restart it.
How it possible to make tincd restart if the connexion

Problem with softlinks under samba on RHEL
Hello all Samba enthusiasts.
I am a noob w.r.t. samba configuration and just happened to use it on
Solaris systems by creating conf files using copy-paste :-). This is
just to convey that I'm no advanced user and might need help with the
solutions / alternatives to come.

RBD volume not made available to Xen virtual guest on openSUSE 15.2 (with libvirt 6.0.0)
Hi there,
Since upgrading to openSUSE 15.2 (which includes libvirt 6.0.0) the
virtual guests don't get their RBD disks made available to them. On
openSUSE 15.1 (which includes libvirt 5.1.0) that worked fine. The XML
is as follows:
<domain type='xen' id='7'>
<name>mytwotel-a</name>
<uuid>a56daa5d-c095-49d5-ae1b-00b38353614e</uuid>

It's QEMU 4.2.1-lp152.9.6.1.
I've tried updating it from the Open Build Service repos but there's too
many version conflicts.

Tunneling public ips, proxy arp, tinc config
Hi,
I have a question. I have a routeable /24 netblock including a server at a
colocation and I would like to use tincd to tunnel part of that netblock to
an internal network on another location being connected to the internet via
gateway with DSL link and a single static IP address, so I can use public
routable IP addresses on the local network.
I have tincd 1.0 pre7 installed on both the local

Unable to map the group
Hi All,
I am using Samba 3.2.11 on sles 10. I have create a Unix group 'grp1' and
mapped it to a ntgroup "Group One". Unix group 'grp1' has one user i.e
'usr1'. 'net groupmap' command show the mapping with correct SID and gid
value. Please, have a look here.
# cat /etc/group | grep grp1

how to build complete standalone "tincd"
I'm new to tinc. I have built tincd for Linux FC5. I also have an embedded Linux platform to deal with.
I'm unable to build tincd directly on embedded linux, due to compiler missing/incompatible etc. issues.
So I wish to build a standalone tincd on Linux FC5, and just ftp this single executable over to
embedded linux and use it. How to do that? Right now when I ftp tincd to embedded and

Problems with 2 DCs.
Hello,
I've set up 2 DCs.
The first as been set up using the command:
samba-tool domain provision ?
The second, using the command:
samba-tool domain join <realm> DC?
As far as command return status say the commands went well.
Using only the first DC, I can add windows client to the domain, I can
manage users, everything seems to be ok.
When adding the second DC, users database is

load balancing over 4 lines to one provider
yes, this is a crazy subject. I have 4 ADSL lines to the same provider, which
even have the same gateway. Those lines are connected to the same machine (more
crazyness: even connected to the same nic. it works fine, I swear). this machine
will serve this conenction to a local net.
so, I setup the ifaces correctly, everything works. I add balancing using this
command:
# ip route replace default

Dev: new option to mark all tincd socket of a tincd process
I know i'm new to the list but i'd like to propose something for tincd
daemon.
I'd like to mark all sockets established by a tincd process with a mark
passed as an argument in the command line.
What could be the purpose of this new option?
The goal of this option is to be able to have several tincd process
running at the same time using the same port but using different ip.

I think, you do not need to specify "Device".

Self-DoS
Hi,
I have successfully connected a network of about 60 nodes (many of which are virtual machines) with tinc 1.0 but encounter a severe bug when physical connectivity between two major locations is lost and then reconnected. From what I gathered, many nodes attempt to connect to many other nodes, causing 100% CPU load on all nodes, taking down the whole network with no node succeeding connecting

configure can't find dgemm in MKL10
Hi,
I'm trying to follow the R-admin instructions for using MKL10 as the external BLAS compiling R-2.6.2 under Linux on a RH EL head node of a cluster. The configure process seems to have problems when it checks for dgemm in the BLAS. I'm using configure as:
./configure CC=icc F77=ifort --with-lapack="$MKL" --with-blas="$MKL" where $MKL is defined as in R-admin
