Re: win32-service ideas
Park, Shashank,
It turns out I was doing something stupid with regards to Dir.chdir in
testing, which appears to be the reason it was failing.
It seems to work now. Hooray!
Shashank, I''ll take a look at your errors and see if I can nail them down.
The RPC message is one that I got from time to time, but from what I can
tell, it''s bogus or a system config/permissions

Changes to ClassViewer
Kevin,
Very cool. I initially tried to figure out how to do it without those
evals, but I failed (thanks for picking up the slack :) Your changes
definitely improved the code, and made it much cleaner. Thanks.
By the way, what is pickaxe? I''m not familiar with that term.

ATA (private) --> Xp (NAT/DHCP) --> Internet -->Asterisk (Public IP)
I can't get the sip to work. I am getting so frunstrated. It seems that
this should be so easy to do. My XP has no settings to forward the RTP
ports. How is this suppose to work. They describe it all over the internet
that it will work, but I need the exact details. I have spent way to much
time for what I have (nothing).

Bandwidth ? + Doc + cdr
Hi,
How much bandwidth do I need for 1 conversation ?
I know it depends on the codecs, in X-lite I can see a codec called gsm, and
the grandstream aha analog/ip converter have a codec called 721.
Doc. I have found the asterisk handbook, but only a draft from marts 2003
anything newer ?
Guides/howtos are welcome as well.

It''s been awhile, but I''ve put up a new tutorial page on Wx::Frame. It''s
the first half of the tutorial on Frame, the rest will come a little later.
Let me know what you guys think. Any comments or criticisms are welcome.
Let me know what was good and what could have been better, so that future
tutorials will be able to incorporate those improvements.

request for advice to increase throughput and lower latency
Hello everybody,
I am using fairly standard setup with tinc version 1.0.31 on Debian 9.1
and Windows Pro 7 clients, however the users complain that tinc is very
slow. (they connect to smb shares and transfer files).
This is my configuration the client host files only have the keys.

Any advice and options to speed the connections up.

Things that need to be fixed
Hi,
There are several issues with tinc that need to be fixed:
- IndirectData: currect protocol "masquerades" hosts which have IndirectData
set. This is bad, because you can't do loop detection anymore, and it
requires a lot of dirty code to do the masquerading properly.
- Loop detection: request handlers must be revised to break the right
connections upon detecting a loop.

lzo compression support for tinc
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
Hi,
I've added lzo compression support for tinc 1.0pre8. Lzo is a very fast
compressor (see http://www.oberhumer.com/opensource/lzo/).
I've implemented it by using two new compression levels. Compression level 10
is for fast compression using lzo1x-1 algorithm. Compression level 11 is for
slow compression using lzo1x-999 algorithm.

Fwd: memory leak
Hi,
I've observed this strange behaviour for a while in my test environment. It
looks like that all problems gone away when I switch to "hub-mode" instead
of switch mode.
Does tinc still work properly in switch mode when I transport vlan tagged
traffic within that tunnel? In my environment the side, which is receiving
arp requests from the wired interface, is running out of

memory leak
Hi,
I am running tinc on alpine linux 2.7.8 in 2 seperate environments. The
first environment is running for about a month without any problems.
The second environment causes some trouble. It looks like a memory leak on
the client side.
