Connection problem
I've got a test lab set up and im having problems connecting. The first problem is that it takes it a couple of tries before it actually connects the two machines. It complains about bogus data and after trying for a minute or so it connects. kill -USR1 shows that they are connected kill -USR2 only shows the local subnet, not the remote I've tried these versions without any luck: cvs

"Possible intruder" warning
Hello, I'm using tinc for a few years now and that this is my first post to this list tells a lot about the quality of tinc, I think. It's just great, thanks a lot for your fine work! Recently I've discovered these messages in my syslog: Dec 28 16:34:06 vdr tinc.grue[9731]: Possible intruder ix (192.168.178.25 port 60882): wrong keylength Dec 28 16:34:06 vdr tinc.grue[9731]: Error

Connection problems
I have been having some problems setting up tinc on 2 masquerading linux slackware boxes. routerA is a NAT router to the internet, for two networks on two interfaces. This are the two networks: eth1 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:E0:4C:6C:6D:86 inet addr:192.168.0.1 Bcast:192.168.0.255 Mask:255.255.255.0 UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1 RX

Response time on Tinc VPNs, Bandwith on Tinc-VPN
Hello, response time: how is it possible to increase the response time on Tinc VPNs. When I use tinc over a fast or giga-bit network connection the ping-response time is normally about 1800 to 2000 ms. Sometimes I get ping response times at about 2.500 to 3.000 ms over a normal Ethernet Connection or a television-cable connection within the same providers-network in the same city. The ping-time

Direct connections between nodes are in the same LAN (behind common NAT)
Hi I'm trying to implement a scheme in which the nodes will have a direct UDP tunnel to each other. First, all nodes make connection with one public node, and then make connections with each other. And I came across the following problem: Remotely located nodes can establish a direct UDP connection, but the nodes that are in the same local network can not, and all traffic goes through the

Simple Class A VPN Guide - Problems
Hey guys, Stumbled upon tinc a few days ago - looks great. I'm having trouble setting up a simple VPN between two machines that are unfirewalled, one is a physical machine and another is a local VM. I can connect to them via their existing LAN IPs and ping them without issue with < 1ms. 1) I have WinA (Windows host - existing LAN IP 192.168.137.1) and LinuxB (Linux host - existing LAN

Only reaching one machine at network
Hi there, I am using tinc since some monthes. I think the basic idea of extending vpn to a mesh of systems via tun/tap is great. And I think it is one of the useable developments compared to the much more complex vpn solutions I had used in the past. Great work. Setting up tinc I have fought with the configuration (and with the concepts) for a while as I have found no example that covers my

[PATCH v2 06/35] crypto: Use kmemdup rather than duplicating its implementation
kmemdup is introduced to duplicate a region of memory in a neat way. Rather than kmalloc/kzalloc + memcpy, which the programmer needs to write the size twice (sometimes lead to mistakes), kmemdup improves readability, leads to smaller code and also reduce the chances of mistakes. Suggestion to use kmemdup rather than using kmalloc/kzalloc + memcpy. Signed-off-by: Fuqian Huang <huangfq.daxian

Routing between two tunnels
Hi! Me and two friends are trying to get a VPN working, but we cant get routing between two tunnels. This is how it looks, all servers (192.168.*.1) are running IP Masquerade to enable the other computers behind them to access the internet. Both elayne and glenn are connecting to melc, and the tunnel between melc and glenn are running TCPOnly because that glenn doesnt have a public IP (it's

Problem with more than two Subnets!
Hello, I successfully built a vpn between two hosts ("main" and "iquique") (and its SubNets), but I have problems when I want to add another host ("valparaiso"): I get a lot of Duplicates packets everywhere and a very slow vpn. I guess that is a routing problem, but I have try with a lot of alternatives without result. I have try with "switch",
