Periodic routing problem
Hi, I've been running tinc for a couple of months and it's great, but I
have a periodic problem which maybe you guys can figure out. I operate a
3-node tinc VPN, lets say A, B and C.
A
/ \
B --- C
The problem is that after a while, node C can't exchange data with node
B. It works fine (ping and other traffic) for about 10 minutes, then
fails. Here is some debug

late or replayed packet warning
I get a lot of these in my log, especially when I am moving lots of traffic
across the vpn:
Sep 20 10:45:11 titan tinc.tdvpns[16152]: Got late or replayed packet from
holden (xx.yy.zz.ww port 655), seqno 37609, last received 37610

What exactly is this trying to say? Surely this doesn't simply mean that

Tinc Network Spikes
Hi,
?
I've recently moved from OpenVPN to Tinc for the mesh setup. Everything works nicely except for some looping packet issues.
?
I have 12 servers around the United States, including a couple of moving clients. Every now and then the network is flooded with what I assume is looping packets. 200-300MB of bandwidth per node over 10-45 minutes (normally < 20 KB/s, idle). Most if not all

Rollover oddity
Hello,
I've got 2 analogue lines (from SBC) coming into a TDM22B. SBC
have put rollover from the first to the second line. The rollover
works fine when handsets are connected directly to the lines (ie
when Asterisk is not involved), but when the lines are connected
to Asterisk, the rollover fails: the caller just hears the line
ringing, and the person on the first (busy) line hears call

Problems with packages being dropped between nodes in the vpn
Hi
I have some problems with my vpn. Im running version 1.1pre15 on all nodes.
I have four nodes in my network.
Node1 -> connects to Node2
Node2 -> connects to Node1
Node3 -> connects to Node1 and Node2
Node4 -> connects to Node1 and Node2
The problem is the connection between Node3 and Node4. The traffic is going via Node1 and Node2. Its unstable. package drops almost all the time

Tinc improvements
Dear Guus,
I've attached my first git commit to your repository.
It does not contain any new functionalities, but it is a first try to
interact with your git copy.
Could you please verify, if you can push this commit to your repository?
If it works, I'll send you the rest of my work, which contains:
1) some small improvements in logging
(using flags instead of counters)
2) the

Mailing list rollover
Hello,
It's been noticed that mailing list monthly rollovers didn't happen
because the machine was down when the cronjob to do the rollover would
normally have fired. I will trigger them by hand now... upshot is
that I'm not bothering to refile the first five days of May in the
correct slot. I sincerely hope that no one cares :-)

Incoming phone line rollover / hunt?
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
Hi All,
I have a simple question about incoming phone line rollovers. How are
these usually done? Is this done at the phone company usually, or is
this something that Asterisk or channel bank is capable of? I just need
someone to give me a brief explanation how it usually works, and if
someone was implementing an Asterisk system, how they would go

Tinc 1.1pre15 double-crash
Hello,
this morning I apparently had tinc crash on me.
In 2 independent tinc clusters of 3 nodes each (but located in the same datacenter), one tinc process crashed in each of the clusters.
One process apparently with `status=6/ABRT`, the other with `status=11/SEGV`.
Interestingly, they crashed with only 5 minutes difference.
The only thing I can come up with that might explain this correlation

rollover simulation
I am trying to perform a "rollover" when the primary number is busy. This is
coming from a POTS line. Apparently I need call waiting on the POTS line as
I get immediate busy from the FXS if I don't have it. So my question is
this. I have an Aastra 480I CT. The call forward when busy here seems pretty
straight forward. Choose the mode as busy enter the extension in the forward
number

using both ConnectTo and AutoConnect to avoid network partitions
Thanks Guus
I have one more question.
- We see several log messages that we dont currently understand - Can you
comment on what they mean and if they are concerning? I've obfuscated IP's
and node names so please ignore those. Our tinc daemon command is: tincd -n
<vpn name>
