Log shows NT4 for an ADS domain
I'm trying to learn about the interactions between SAMBA and win2k DCs. The eventual goal is to have a Win2k server with ADS working with a freeBSD SAMBA server. I've used the setup from http://oslabs.mikro-net.com/fbsd_samba.html as the basis for what I've done so far. Winbind seems to work and I can show users and groups using wbinfo although I see some things in the logs that I

Parsing the icecast stats log
Hello All, I wrote a PHP function to parse the icecast stats log and return as much information in a structured array as possible (well, as much as I care about, anyway). Because the stats log is not easily machine-parseable, I thought this might be useful to somebody. The log is parsed using Perl-compatible regexps, so it should easily port. I have only my own setup to test this on, so

[PATCH] IceCast2 - socket-based default mount
I wrote a patch which makes client connections retain info about which socket they connected to - this way, you can change the server's behavior based on which <listen-socket> is being connected to. In addition, I added a field to the <listen-socket> section of the config file called <default-mount> which specifies a default file in the case that one isn't specified (it

Merry Christmas, all Asterisk users!
It's the day before Christmas here in Sweden, actually the night before at this time... We celebrate Xmas on the 24th, so I'm about to log off and switch my Asterisk into "merry-christmas-mode" with the yet undocumented CLI command "frosty-mode on", a mode where the PBX will connect all incoming extensions to the "ho-ho-ho" sound file and then randomly pick a

Old connection_t for .... messages
Hi, One one server running tinc we're seeing a lot of syslog messages like the following: Old connection_t for XXXXX (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx port 655) status 0014 still lingering, deleting... The last time these messages appeared, they referred to 2 of the 3 remote ends that this server is connected to. They appear regularly, once every minute. The VPN still works fine, but I have to restart tinc

Segmentation fault with latest 1.1 revision
Hello, I am trying 1.1 branch and I experience a segmentation fault upon ALRM signal. This looks like a race condition. I have my tincd daemon instantiated manually in if-up.d/jmuchemb (without IF_TINC_NET) and when if-up.d/tinc runs, it sends a ALRM signal that makes tincd crash. It fails here: Core was generated by `tincd -D -n jmuchemb -d -o ConnectTo srv -o srv.Address 81.x.y.z -o

Self-DoS
Hi, I have successfully connected a network of about 60 nodes (many of which are virtual machines) with tinc 1.0 but encounter a severe bug when physical connectivity between two major locations is lost and then reconnected. From what I gathered, many nodes attempt to connect to many other nodes, causing 100% CPU load on all nodes, taking down the whole network with no node succeeding connecting

NT_STATUS_WRONG_PASSWORD with multiple concurrent connects from same IP Address.
Andrew: RE: SPNEGO=NO to solve Multiple simultaneous connects from the same client system.. We're finally getting around to implementing this parameter...we've discovered that it breaks connectivity with some of our Windows Xp clients...for some reason certain users are unable to authenticate from some of the Xp systems (the logs report NT_STATUS_NO_SUCH_USER). Strangely enough, other

Problems with tinc 1.0.12
hallo, today I have updated the first node of our tinc clout (33 tinc nodes currently) to 1.0.12 - all the others still use 1.0.10 or 1.0.11. It seems the whole tinc link to already activated connections pauses when there is a name resolution or authentication timeout. tinc exit when there is no internet?
Something to add. When this happened, it looks like tinc shutdown gracefully(not seg fault ..), because I can tell tinc-down script got implemented. tinc exit when there is no internet?
Thanks for the reply. I am running tinc (1.0.24) in an embedded linux environment, with a pretty old kernel (2.6). I have let tinc run for almost 24 hours with internet and can't reproduce the issue. Error checking asterisk method - suggestions?
Hi there dear users and dear developers of Asterisk! I've got a maybe strange idea, let's see if you laugh or think it's reasonable J I'm using Asterisk with Digium TDM800P cards with 24 lines (as an answering machine). Each analog line can be reached through a phonenumber, since they are each connected to my telephone provider. Yes expensive I know J The challenge: I'd

Tinc improvements
Dear Guus, I've attached my first git commit to your repository. It does not contain any new functionalities, but it is a first try to interact with your git copy. Could you please verify, if you can push this commit to your repository? If it works, I'll send you the rest of my work, which contains: 1) some small improvements in logging (using flags instead of counters) 2) the

[PATCH] New '-o' option to configure server or hosts from command line
Options given on the command line have precedence over configuration from files. This can be useful, for example, for a roaming node, for which 'ConnectTo' and <host>.Address depends on its location. --- This patch is against stable branch. Merging this patch to the 1.1 branch is trivial. I use this patch on my Debian for several weeks. Here is the ifupdown script I use (some

[PATCHES] Smartjog PatchDump
Hello, I work at SmarctJog.com, we have here some patches on IceCast for performance and reliability, these are mostly client/connection/source cleanups (a slave merge is underway, and some more good stuff (c)), but we'd like this to be merged in before the list gets any longer. Please find attached a list of our patches with a short desc: This one is actually not from us/me, it was found
