Plans for buster
Knorrie and I just discussed our plans for sid and buster, on the
phone. Here's my notes of the discussion.
Plan is to upload Knorrie's 4.11 packages to experimental, to make
them more public, while we fix the bugs in them.
There's a list of Salsa issues and the BTS bugs list. This
duplication is not ideal. We agreed that new things should go to the
BTS. For now we'll keep

Help wanted with Debian Xen packages ?
Hi. I've been looking at the BTS and PTS and security tracker, and it
looks like maybe you could do with some help ?
Issues I noticed include:
* 4.7, the latest Xen upstream release, is not in sid
* Even leaving that aside, sid doesn't seem to have all the security
fixes which ought to be expected.
* The BTS could do with a bit of gardening, perhaps.
Please let me know what, if

relationship counselling for debian and rsync
I heard Debian's trying to freeze soon. I have a few points about
rsync's Debian package.
I'll see what I can do to close some Debian/rsync bugs. Fortunately
some of the bad ones seem to be already addressed in our regular
tarballs.
It would be pretty cool if I could be automatically cc'd on Debian bug
reports about rsync, if the BTS supports that.

Control: retitle -1 max grant frames problem (domu freeze with linux-image-4.9.0-4-amd64)
Control: severity -1 important
Control: reassign -1 src:xen 4.8.3+xsa267+shim4.10.1+xsa267-1+deb9u9
Just gardening here.
(i) Bug title should mention grant frames.
(ii) This does not affect all use cases and is not, IMO, RC. Although
we should certainly see if we can improve it.
(iii) Britney is confused

xml mis-read in civ4 bts 3.17 running ffh2 mod
I have Civ4 BTS 3.17 installed and running on Ubuntu 8.10 using Wine 1.1.13. The game seems to be OK but I have been playing the Fall from Heaven 2 mod recently and the data for the Great Library used within the game is corrupted (sages being given ridiculously large espionage bonuses). The xml files on disk are fine and there is no problem when running the same mod on Windows.
I am using the

Upload of fixes for xen-api
Dear release team,
I would like update the Wheezy package of xen-api with numerous small
fixes. These aren't RC bugs, but I believe they are all worth fixing. I
believe that the most important one to fix is #682202.
Here's the changelog:
* Fixes bashism in install-debian-pv.sh (Closes: #690612).
* Fixes bashism in interface-visualise (Closes: #690710).
* The /etc/init.d/xcp-squeezed

Bug#508139: HVM guests can't be used because there is no /usr/lib/xen folder
Package: xen-utils-3.2-1
Version: 3.2.1-2
Severity: grave
I tried to start an HVM guest to setup Windows 2003 64 bits entreprise R2, and
I spent a long time figuring out that there is no /usr/lib/xen folder by
default, and this is where Xen is searching for it's file when using HVM, VNC
and all. Doing a simple symlink with ln -s /usr/lib/xen-3.2.1 /usr/lib/xen made
it working, if it's not

[LLVMdev] [PATCH] x86/asm: avoid mnemonics without type suffix
1c54d77 (x86: partial unification of asm-x86/bitops.h, 2008-01-30)
changed a bunch of btrl/btsl instructions to btr/bts, with the following
justification:
The inline assembly for the bit operations has been changed to remove
explicit sizing hints on the instructions, so the assembler will pick
the appropriate instruction forms depending on the architecture and
the context.

[patch] Packages ocaml libraries
This is the second version of my patch, this one is much more clean,
since it's using upstream Makefile. This is the most urgent patch, since
we need it in order to build xen-api-libs / xen-api. Please really
consider applying this patch.

xen,debian lenny and hvm(winxp)
Hi,
i want to install a WinXP as vm, but it won''t work. "xm list" tells me
that the winxp-vm is running, but I am not able to connect via vnc. nmap
tells me that there is no vnc-port listening and ps -A tells me that
qemu-dm does not work. Maybe someone could help me because i have no
idea what''s wrong..
System: Debian Lenny
XEN: from lenny-repository
ps -A says:
