Hi
I''m developing software using wxruby2. At first I tried to use wxruby
0.6 but I couldn''t live without some of those new funky features :)
So, instead of writing my own code, I got a bit sidetracked and wrote

Wx::Bitmap causes segfaults
Instantiating a Wx::Bitmap with width and height causes a segmentation
fault. This is the minimal example I could find where the behaviour is
exhibited:

Good news on WxWidgets 2.8.0
Hi
Just tried out the most recent dev release (2.7.1) of WxWidgets.
The first bit of good news is that 2.7.1 has lots of attractive new
widgets, such as RichTextCtrl, pickers, and the AUI. This is an add-on
that''s now been merged into the core, and provides sophisticated things
like dockable toolbars, perspective layouts, semi-transparent dragging
etc. They seem to have brushed up

I''d like to tag and release 0.0.39 some time in the next couple of days.
Bit short of time over the next few weeks so would like to get our
recent bug fixes out there.
I''ll update the Changelog and run through the samples, but please shout
if anything else should get some attetnion before we release.
Hopefully this could be our last preview release - also going to try

error in lme4 for R 2.4.0 (PR#9297)

I just updated the R.2.4.0. and got the error message for random effect
modelling, which was working on R.2.3.1.

SWIG 1.3.31
Just a note for those who build from source/SVN - SWIG 1.3.31 is now
out, and seems to work fine with current wxruby2.
This should allow us to support Ruby 1.9. If anyone is keen to see this
please let us know.
Unfortunately at first glance the new release doesn''t seem to include
several important patches Roy submitted for SWIG bugs that wxruby2
development turned up.
