Grid.GetTextExtent
Wow. Look what SWIG does to GetTextExtent in Grid.cpp: void SwigDirector_wxGrid::GetTextExtent(wxString const &string, int *x, int *y, int *descent, int *externalLeading, wxFont const *font) const { ... if (swig_get_up()) { wxWindow::GetTextExtent(string,x,y,descent,externalLeading,font); return; } obj0 = rb_str_new2((const char *)(&string)->mb_str());

Another patch of win32-service for nice startup.
Hi, I believe this patch would be a perfect solution for a lengthy initialization application. Added hStartEvent, service_init, checkpoint increments. ============================================================ --- temp/service.c 2005-11-27 00:03:30.000000000 +0900 +++ service.c 2005-11-27 00:01:58.000000000 +0900 @@ -14,6 +14,7 @@ static VALUE cDaemonError; static VALUE rbServiceStruct,

Problem with directors and Ruby
I''ve tried to distill this sample down to its smallest portion. The problem is that the function included in the .i file can take optional arguments, most of which are output only, except the last one, which is input only. My target language is Ruby. When SWIG produces the wrapper for this the input parameter''s name and type gets confused with the second

typemap.i.patch: The Next Generatio
OK, I figured it out. It was basically right the first time. I was bit in the backside by macro side effects. Turns out NUM2INT causes its argument to be called twice so it was double shifting. This version doesn''t do that. Roy _______________________________________________ wxruby-users mailing list wxruby-users@rubyforge.org http://rubyforge.org/mailman/listinfo/wxruby-users

typemap.i.patch
This patch implements a more generic solution to the problem that will work for all our integer types at least. Use this instead of the last version I sent, please. Service event hooks question
In order to be able to call event hooks as I mentioned previously it looks like I''ll have to do something like this in Service_Ctrl(): // For example if(dwCtrlCode == SERVICE_CONTROL_STOP){ rb_funcall(self,rb_intern("send"),rb_intern("on_stop")); } There are a few problems. First, I''m not sure I''m calling that properly. Second, I don''t

Fix for non-centered windows
Two patches here: First one removes virtual from a function that shouldn''t have been virtual. Second one applies a typemap to catch GetRectFromChildWindow. For reasons that are completely beyond me the standard ruby OUTPUT typemaps don''t define directorargouts. I will take a stab at patching SWIG''s default typemaps someday so we get this fixed for free on all our
