Support for Hyper-V
Hi, I would like to know if libvirt support Hyper-V deployed in Windows 2012 server. Does libvirt talk to Hyper-V using the REST API provided by Microsoft (where SCVMM & SPF are deployed)? >From the web site, I see that libvirt support only "Hyper-V 2008 R2" Many thanks in advance. FW: Help for setting up windows unattended installation
Hi, I'm not sure what you call it, but I do not use EFI, so I guess it is BIOS/legacy system. My idea was to have the option to install windows 7 on my computer and it should install drivers that's not recognized in the install progress. My default file is this: DEFAULT menu.c32 PROMPT 0 MENU TITLE PXE Special Boot Menu MENU INCLUDE pxelinux.cfg/graphics.conf MENU AUTOBOOT

[PATCH] isatty(): use TCGETS instead of TIOCGPGRP, like dietlibc does
Does ctrl+c work? My experience with (non klibc) init=/bin/bash is that getting ctrl+c to work requires some jumping through hoops, because running as pid 1 doesn't really work. If I recall correctly you have to call setsid, and open a tty as a controlling tty, you can't call setsid as pid 1. The hack that I got to work (for reference, I'm using this for raw kernel testing

Unattended install of CentOS in a VM with given login/password?
Is there a way to make CentOS install unattended, right from the boot until I can SSH into it?. I'd like being able to boot a new Virtualbox virtual machine right from the CentOS ISO, and then from the Virtualbox host, ssh into the brand new VM client and customize it using SSH shell scripts (SU, yum install, etc). Is there any way to tweak the ISO to specify "unattended install"

Force close on unattended SSH/SFTP connections
Dear CentOS people, I'm sure many have faced this before but I can't seem to figure this out. I need unattended OpenSSH and its SFTP connections to be closed after a while (say, in 10 minutes). This needs to override anything that could be done from the client side (ServerAliveInterval or keepalives a program like PuTTY can send). I kind of understand it's not always easy to

How to make an unattended backup
Hi, I use AptVanBelle repo for samba, is there a way to backup in unattended way (I mean via cron) the DC? If I use samba-tool domain backup online --targetdir=/srv/backup --server= samba4.example.com -k yes -d1 It works, by it ask for password Administrator. What is the best practice to do it? Digium G729 licence unattended install
Hi, One of the key features of Asterisk is that we can install it on many hardware platforms. We've done our best to script this installation process, so that, in case of hardware failure, we can re-install Asterisk on another platform. The question I have is how can we adapt our process so that Digium's G729 licences (or other licenced software) could be installed without asking too

samba on ubuntu 22 lts breaks after unattended-upgrade
Hello, this morning we had the unpleasant experience of two DCs breaking at the same time, no logins, no DNS resolution, any call to samba binaries fails with an error message similar to : libldbsamba.so.0 : ldb_msg_element_is_inaccessible (cannot copy&paste as I disabled network access to this server). We first thought we had a crashed AD structure. Reverting to a copy one of the DCs

unattended install via nfs
Hello, Does anyone have a guide for setting up an nfs server for unattended deployment of centos5? Basically what i want to do is boot a system from CD media, pass a boot parameter nfs, and ks= options then walk away, the box goes out to the nfs server, finds the kickstart file, reads, and does it. I've got several machines and i'd rather not do manual installs. Thanks. Dave.

unattended cloning
Morning, I have a KVM guest running Win 2012 with MS SQL 2012. In order to provide a quick method of restoring the service should the live server die, we've decided to clone it to a preserved state. Ideally, this clone should also be kept up to date and cloning should be done on a regular basis. Is there any reason not to do unattended cloning? As in, when I leave on a Friday afternoon,
