KVM: Vlans not working with vlan hw rx acceleration
Hi, Setup info: (a) Using RHEL6 kvm. (b) Loaded driver on RHEL6 setup. (c) Created 2 bridges on top of two interfaces. (d) Assigned these bridges to 2 VMs. (e) Created vlans in VMs. Problem: When vlan acceleration support is enabled in driver, traffic stops b/w VMs on vlan interfaces inside virtual m/c. Without, vlan acceleration, everything works fine. Thanks, Sucheta.

Do fixture_scenarios and RSpec peacibly coexist?
Railsters: I just installed fixture_scenarios ... http://fixture-scenarios.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/fixture_scenarios ...into a project with some RSpec specifications. They all went kablooey. I didn''t even create a scenario; the system just started calling its version of fixtures(). The normal tests pass and the RSpec ones unanimously emit: TypeError in ''Context (verbose

Can "prototype" and "initialize" coexist?
Folks, My object oriented background is in Java and C++. I am a novice to using S4/object-oriented coding in R but not to R. Below is an example that I found that I have expanded on. I am not getting how "prototype" and "initialize" work together, if at all. Here is output from a short "session" > setClass("xx", +

Need help getting two NICs to work on CentOS 7
Hello all Here is the scenario: We have a mail server VM which currently has two virtual NICs attached to it. One NIC is has an IP on a subnet with a default gateway defined and the other NIC has an IP on a different subnet with a different gateway on a different VLAN defined. Now when I activate both NICs, and run an ifconfig -a, I see that both IP addresses are showing. Now here is the

Setting up virtual ''ethX'' devices in Xen 3.4
Hi all, Up until now, we''ve been using Xen 3.0 on CentOS 5.x. Under this setup, dom0 was given a virtual ''ethX'' with the original ''ethX'' (now ''pethX'') IP address. Under this older config, neither ''pethX'' or ''xenbrX'' had an IP address. The logic was to keep traffic from the domU''s, through

ConnectTimeout=2 not working for me
Hi all, I have somewhat a strange problem that I could not figure out, maybe someone here can lelp. I have a script that uses scp to distribute files to many servers, I use '-o BatchMode=yes -o ConnectTimeout=2 options so the scp will not get stuck if something is wrong with the remote host. If the remote host is down (non-pingable) or sshd is down the timeout option works and the scp

True bond howto for Centos 6
Hi all, Read many posts on the subject. Using 802.3ad. Few problems; Cannot ping some hosts on the network, they are all up. Cannot resolve via DNS which is one of the hosts that I cannot ping, internal nor external DNS hosts. Unplugging the NICS and plugging them back in will then not allow pining if the default d=gateway. When cold booting it somewhat works, some hosts are pingable while
