Wx::GenericDirCtrl Segfault Crash
Hey Alex, Found another GC bug in wxRuby. I ran into this problem, when trying to implement Wx::GenericDirCtrl into wxRuby. The specific case in which this is occuring, is when I attach the two event handlers for evt_tree_item_expanding() and evt_tree_item_activated() when grabbing the Wx::GenericDirCtrl#get_tree_ctrl(). All I have it doing, is attempting to catch these events (Which I really

GenericDirCtrl#re_create_tree behaviour
Hi When GenericDirCtrl#re_create_tree is called in order to refresh the tree with any possible changes made to the file system since it was loaded, it doesn''t re-expand all the tree items that were expanded prior to calling re_create_tree. I''m working on a solution to note all open tree items and after re_create_tree manually expand the items that are still present in the tree.

wxGenericDirCtrl
wxGenericDirCtrl.rbw and bigdemo.rb.patch file. Note that we still have the extension .rbw on all the samples. Maybe we should mass-migrate them to .rb (and fix bigdemo.rb)? GenericDirCtrl
A little patch to add Wx::GenericDirCtrl. A non-native control (on OS X at least) but maybe useful to someone. I have tested it but think it should just be added to controls.rb sample - will do later when i have fixed some other probs with that. Also, I''ve started putting class-specifc style constants in the relevant .i file, as discussed previosuly - will submit a patch doing this

picture organizer -- need a bit of help
While trying to develop a little wxruby program, I have some difficulties, namely: 1. I want to read all kind of graphic files, (mainly jpg, png and tiff is enough...) But, the current implementation seems to deal only with bmps and currently there is no way to call ::wxInitAllImageHandlers. 2. I think DnD is required in my case: I want to drop filenames on a TreeCtrl. I will try to add

find_window_by_xxx doesn''t find Gauge or BitmapButton
I''m fairly new to the Ruby world, particularly WxRuby, so please forgive me if this is ground that''s been covered in the past. I''m trying to load a frame from an XRC file (created using DialogBlocks), and I''m having trouble getting an instance of the Gauge object using the Wx::Window.find_window_by_xxx methods. I''m trying this on Windows XP,

Compiling problem on Ubuntu 9.10 64 bit
Hello, I''m trying to compile wxruby for Ruby 1.9 on Ubuntu Karmic 64 bit, but I can''t get it to work. I''ve already done this for the 32 bit version (on another machine, of course), so I don''t see where''s the problem with that. I thought, I had all neccessary libraries installed, but maybe you know better... After compiling for a long time, rake fails

GraphicsContext demo
Hey All, I''ve just commited rev 1505, which now includes a GraphicsContext demo, just in time for a release. *wipes forehead* So far, it''s looking pretty good. BTW Alex, another bug came up while working with GraphicsContext, but wasn''t something as major that could prevent me from completing the demo. Sockets.....
Hey Alex and Sean, After much review, and testing, of creating a Sockets library that would reliably work with Ruby Threads, and recent posts about trouble with Ruby Threads and wxRuby, I''ve come to the conclusion that it would not be a reliable method in which to create this library through pure Ruby code. Either we will need to check out 1.9.0 (Since it''s been officially
