implementation of IEEE 802.1Qbg in lldpad
Hi, this set of patches contains the initial implementation of the IEEE 802.1Qbg standard: code for the exchange of EVB TLVs in LLDP frames to negotiate VSI capabalities as well as VDP VSI TLVs between a host with virtual machines and an adjacent switch. It supports setting the parameters of the TLV exchange from the command line using lldptool. VDP profiles consisting of

implementation of IEEE 802.1Qbg in lldpad, part2
Hi, This series of patches contains the second part of an initial implementation of the IEEE 802.1Qbg standard: code for the exchange of VDP VSI TLVs between a host with virtual machines and an adjacent switch. VDP profiles consisting of mode,mgrid,typeid,typeidversion,instanceid,mac,vlan can be given to lldpad with lldptool. A way to deliver profiles to lldpad from libvirt using netlink

R-alpha: R interaction within ESS-4.9-b11: two small issues
1) I installed the latest ESS (Emacs Speaks Statistics) beta release on a machine running Linux. Since there is no S-PLUS product for Linux, I set the ess-site.el file for R, xlisp-stat, and S version 4. I.e., ;; (1.5) Require the needed dialects for your setup. ;;(require 'essd-s+3) (require 'essd-r) (require 'essd-xls) ;;(require 'essd-sas) ;;(require 'essd-s3) ;;

patch to support custom HTTP headers in download.file() and url()
The patch below adds support for custom HTTP headers in download.file() and url(). My main motivation for this is performing basic http authentication. Some web sites do not support embedding the credentials into the URI itself, they only work if the username and password are sent in the HTTP headers. In fact specifying the username and password in the URI has been

Regarding an "earlier" variant of `pre-xfer exec` [feature request and proposed patch]
(I think the subject is quite descriptive; however for use-cases and details see bellow after the mention of the old conversation and the patch.) Searching the mailing list about this topic yields an old conversation about this from 2008: * https://lists.samba.org/archive/rsync/2008-November/022148.html * https://lists.samba.org/archive/rsync/2008-November/022150.html I'll quote

[Bridge] [evb] RE: [PATCH][RFC] net/bridge: add basic VEPA support
Paul, I also think that bridge may not be the right place for VEPA, but rather a simpler sw/hw mux Although the VEPA support may reside in multiple places (I.e. also in the bridge) As Arnd pointed out Or already added an extension to qemu that allow direct guest virtual NIC mapping to an interface device (vs using tap), this was done specifically to address VEPA, and result in much faster

CentOS 7.3.1611 scap-security-guide issue
Hello, I have noticed that pci-dss profile, ssg-centos7-xccdf.xml will always fail on test and remediation for disable_prelink rule. That seem to be caused by insufficient CentOS RPM customization of upstream code. Specifically this: https://github.com/OpenSCAP/scap-security-guide/blob/master/shared/oval/disable_prelink.xml#L24-L35
