[PATCH] Change virtio_pci to use a shared memory area for config
This patch changes virtio_pci to use a shared memory area for virtio config
info instead of using the PCI configuration space. This is closer semantically
to what the virtio API exposes and is it a lot easier to implement on both
ends.

SAMBA: Share specific log files
Hi all,
We are trying to print the log messages pertaining to each share in a
different log file for auditing purposes.
We are using Samba v3.0.20b.
We are trying to modify the file
smbd/service.c::make_connection_snum() function by changing the log
file full path. The code changes that is done are as follows:
char logfilefullpath[70];
char sharename[256];

Dump utility?
Is there any dump utility that exists for vorbis streams?
What I am intersted in is something that will do a break down like:
How many bits are used for encoding _each_ codebooks, how many bits are
used for the residue, how much is used for the lpc coefficints. A
selective dump of the codebooks themselves would be nice too of course.
I'm wondering if anyone has such a little dump utility.

SAMBA failing to start after upgrade
Hi I upgraded my samba 4 DC running on Ubuntu 12.04 from 4.6.7 to 4.6.10

While downloading the new package the internet went down and it stopped so
later when the connection was restored I started it again with ap-get
upgrade sernet-samba and it started again.
Now after rebooting the server the sernet-samba-ad service is not

Fwd: Support for Samba
Hi
We are running the latest 4.6.7 Sernet samba packages on a Ubuntu 12.02 LTS

replication is working fine from the PDC to the RODC's but the RODC's are
failing to login the local clients when the link between the branch and the
Main campus is offline. The branch computers and users are added into the

[PATCH] xenstore-stat v2
The entries in xenstore have permission attributes. The
attributes can be easily altered by xenstore-chmod, however,
I cannot find a easy way to see them.
I''ve modified xenstore_client.c to raise a new utility.
The utility checks the permission and makes an easy-look output.
Please tell me any suggestions.
Thanks.

codebook training
Hi,
I try to build codebooks for Vorbis at sampling frequencies other than 32/44/48 KHz.
As the first step, I started with residual codebooks. I generated training data on a one minute long 44 KHz audio, using Vorbis compiled with the TRAIN_RES define. I think
it worked fine, it generated .vqd files for me.
Then I compiled ResVQTrain, which complied OK. Then I run it on the previously

[patch 00/43] lguest: Patches for 2.6.24 (and patchbomb test)
Hi all,
These are the patches I'm planning to submit for 2.6.24. Comments
gratefully accepted. Along with the usual cleanups and improvements are Jes'
de-i386-ification patches, and a new "virtio" mechanism designed to be shared
with KVM (and hopefully other hypervisors).
Cheers,
Rusty.

SAMBA failing to start after upgrade
The upgrade shouldn't have touched the Samba database, just the
binaries etc, so check the smb.conf file and recreate it if you cannot
find it, or if it is incorrect.
The smb.conf still exists

[PATCH 1/3] lguest: 2.6.21-mm1 update: lguest-remove-unnecessary-gdt-load.patch
Andrew did a great job of merging in the PDA->percpu changes and
lguest code for 2.6.21-mm1, but the load_gdt is now unnecessary.
