gpllib write_sectors() patch
Here is a partial patch that I'm using to illustrate a few questions that I have. Looking at the gpllib write_sectors (com32/gpllib/disk/write.c) it looks like the allocated size is wrong; size is in sectors so we should adjust the alloc/memcpy by size*SECTOR. Also, comparing core/diskio.c it looks like the registers aren't even setup right. In the patch below I put an #if 0 around the

[GIT PULL] elflink bug fixes
Hi Peter, Please pull the following changes. Paulo, I had to revert your "pxe: resolve names via DNS from protected-mode code" change because dns_resolv() is only implemented for PXELINUX and causes undefined symbol references for ISOLINUX, etc. Feel free to make the change again on top of the revert. The following changes since commit e7bd19def830e8341b1a100956345f1028740b9e:

network drives
Another nicety may be handling network drives. I''ve been using a ruby script which manipulate using the "net use" command to map network drives, disconnect network drives, query to see what drives are connected, etc..., but it''d be sweet if this type of functionality was included in win32 package. Maybe usage like: nd = Win32::NetworkDrive.new(

[QEMU PATCH v4] create struct for machine initialization arguments
This should help us to: - More easily add or remove machine initialization arguments without having to change every single machine init function; - More easily make mechanical changes involving the machine init functions in the future; - Let machine initialization forward the init arguments to other functions more easily. This change was half-mechanical process: first the struct was added

Win32OLE ?
Dan/Park, What are your thoughts about implemented portion of the win32utils family that are written in ruby utilizing WIN32OLE. I have found myself writing decent amount of ruby code accessing the Windows Scripting Host (WSH) object models. I have a few scripts which could be added. I do not believe the functionality is currently available with win32utils: - map network drives -

Re: test/unit report attached
Hi Shanko, I''ve read over the testunit results that you posted. First, please do not include win32-thread or win32-driveinfo. The former is extremely beta. The latter I want to reshape a bit before we release it. Other tests: You can ignore the LINK warnings. win32-dir - These failures are expected. Ignore. win32-file - You can ignore the warnings regarding File.encrypt and

can't get write_sectors to work...
Hi, Hopefully you someone can tell me what I'm doing wrong. First, the code. I placed this at the bottom of the main loop in com32/modules/disk.c as a simple test of writing to the disk: printf(" Host bus: %s, Interface type: %s\n\n", d->edd_params.host_bus_type, d->edd_params.interface_type); zero_buf = calloc(1, d->edd_params.bytes_per_sector); for(int

[PATCH] Add ldisk.c32 Lua module
ldisk.c32 is a Lua module that provides information about disks to Lua scripts The example script com32/lua/test/detect_disks.lua uses it to implement some- thing akin to 'disk.c32'. The name 'ldisk.c32' was chosen to avoid a name-clash with 'disk.c32'. --- com32/lua/src/Makefile | 1 + com32/lua/src/ldisk.c | 103

Slightly OT: Making Windows Aps Think Mapped Drives are Local
Sorry if this is slightly off topic for the Samba list, but if anybody knows the answer to this question, it's probably a Samba person... Does anybody know if there a way to make Windows XP think a "mapped network drive" is a "local drive", or at least get Windows to report to all applications that ask that a network drive is a local drive? There must be a whole

RHEL-6 vs. CentOS-5.5 (was: Static assignment of SCSI device names?)
Hello list members, My adventure into udev rules has taken an interesting turn. I did discover a stupid error in the way I was attempting to assign static disk device names on CentOS-5.5, so that's out of the way. But in the process of exploring, I installed a trial copy of RHEL-6 on the new machine to see if anything had changed (since I intend this box to run CentOS-6 anyway). Lots

Not Able to access share when SE_BACKUP_NAME enabled
Hi, This is a little random but I've found that when connecting from a Win2k3 server to a Samba share, If I have the Backup Privelege enabled for my process, It cannot connect. I am prompted for a Username and Password, and then GetVolumeInfo fails. If I disable SE_BACKUP_NAME privilege it connects fine. It looks like this is only a problem with certain versions of Samba. It works fine in

[PATCH v3 0/6] initial suspend support
This patch series makes suspend support in qemu alot more useful. Right now the guest can put itself into s3, but qemu will wakeup the guest instantly. With this patch series applied the guest will stay suspended instead and there are a few events which can kick the guest out of suspend state: A monitor command, ps/2 input, serial input, rtc. Not much yet, but it''s a start with the
