if_indextoname on Windows?
Hi all,
Windows Vista Home Premium
VC++ 9
According to MSDN, the if_indextoname() function should be included on
Vista:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb408408%28VS.85%29.aspx
However, I can''t get mkmf to see it. I tried all of these:
require ''mkmf''
if have_header(''netioapi.h'') # yes
have_func(''if_indextoname'',

SHGetFolderPath and stuff
Hi all,
I was taking another look at SHGetFolderPath() and
related stuff today based on suggestions from Shanko
and Zach. I think this would be fairly simple.
My main question is, where do we put these values?
Under File, Dir, or Shell? Or somewhere else? I vote
Dir, since all the special CSIDL seem to be
directories.
Thus you would have something like:
Dir::ADMINTOOLS
Dir::BITBUCKET

New win32-dir
Hi all,
In lieu of Timothy''s pure Ruby junction code, and Zach''s VC++ 6 issues,
I decided to just rewrite the dang thing in pure Ruby using Win32API.
That will solve''s Zach''s problem and make it easier to add Timothy''s
code, which I plan to add (slightly modified) to the 0.2.0 release.
The code is below. One thing I have a question about is how to

Bug in agrep computing edit distance?
The documentation for agrep says it uses the Levenshtein edit distance,
but it seems to get this wrong in certain cases when there is a
combination of deletions and substitutions. For example:
> agrep("abcd", "abcxyz", max.distance=1)
[1] 1
That should've been a no-match. The edit distance between those strings
is 3 (1 substitution, 2 deletions), but agrep matches

[LLVMdev] compiling rev. 116572 on you-know-what
Hi!
These warnings and errors might be interesting to you when compiling
rev. 116572
of llvm and clang on windows:
\llvm\utils\killthedoctor\system_error.h(260) : error C2065:
'EAFNOSUPPORT' : undeclared identifier
and many similar errors regarding the system error constants. msdn says it's
WSAEAFNOSUPPORT instead of EAFNOSUPPORT
(prepend WSA... to all system error constants)

commit cf7d337
This commit makes MSVC to fail to compile libFLAC in debug config
with the following message:
error C2065: 'debug_target_offset' : undeclared identifier
(The removed FLAC__ASSERT_DECLARATION macros declare debug_target_offset
variable that was used in subsequent FLAC__ASSERTs)

Trying to build on Windows.
I truly hope I have not sent this 5 times.
I've never worked on a project like this before so please let me know how it
supposed to be done when I make mistakes. I have lots to learn so I'm sure
I'll make many.
Got the following error
C:\Code\Vorbis\vorbis\lib\mdct.c(65) : error C2065: 'M_PI' : undeclared

[LLVMdev] Weird problems with cos (was Re: [PATCH v3 2/3] R600: Add carry and borrow instructions. Use them to implement UADDO/USUBO)
Hi Tom, Matt,
I'm running into strange issues with the cos test (piglit
generated_tests/cl/builtin/math/builtin-float-cos-1.0.generated.c)
I have been seeing random failures (incorrect results) for some time and
tried to investigate. the weird part is that the failures are not 100%
reproducible, sometimes the tests pass, or partly pass
(it's usually float8 and float16 subtests that
