nfs causes Centos 7.7 system to hang
Hello, MERRY CHRISTMAS to all in list! After I upgraded to latest: CentOS Linux release 7.7.1908 (Core) I am facing nfs crashes which cause the system to hang frequently. This is caused by cp to nfs-mounted shares. Below is dmesg output; you will see call traces. These cause system to gradually overload: [root at hesperia1 ~]# top top - 10:09:40 up 10:16,? 1 user,? load average: 53.66,

Xorg indefinitely hangs in kernelspace
Hello! I'm writing to report a crash in the QXL / DRM code in the Linux kernel. I originally filed the issue on LaunchPad and more details can be found there, although I doubt whether these details are useful. https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1813620 I first experienced these issues with: * Ubuntu 18.04 (probably kernel 4.15.something) * Ubuntu 18.10 (kernel

random crashes
I have a server thats been running fine for a year or two lock up a few times recently, requiring power cycling. The /var/log/messages after a lockup last night is appended to this message. hardware is a pretty typical server, Supermicro X8DTE-F motherboard, dual Xeon X5650, 48GB ECC memory, LSI SAS 2008 for the boot disks, and LSI MegaRAID SAS 9261-8i for the data volume. Lots of 3TB

[PATCH] Btrfs: fix deadlock in uuid scan kthread
If there''s an ongoing transaction when the uuid scan kthread attempts to create one, the kthread will block, waiting for that transaction to finish while it''s keeping locks on the tree root, and in turn the existing transaction is waiting for those locks to be free. The stack trace reported by the kernel follows. [36700.671601] INFO: task btrfs-uuid:15480 blocked for more than

Centos 5.6 Kernel Panics
Hello, Recently our dell sc1425 server has been locking up with kernel freezes and required a hard reboot on each occasion. I've looked on the centos forums with limited success - each problem seems slightly different (some failure on high load, some not). Our kernel is 2.6.18-274.17.1.el5 and /var/log/messages show the following errors: Apr 3 12:41:25 sp2 kernel: INFO: task

[ovirt-users] Re: Gluster problems, cluster performance issues
Hi all again: I'm now subscribed to gluster-users as well, so I should get any replies from that side too. At this point, I am seeing acceptable (although slower than I expect) performance much of the time, with periodic massive spikes in latency (occasionally so bad as to cause ovirt to detect a engine bad health status). Often, if I check the logs just then, I'll see those call traces

managedsave/start causes IRQ and task blocked for more than 120 seconds errors
If I manually delete the Q35 USB Controllers, I can use managedsave/start, but I start getting tty errors that don't happen before the managedsave/start. Using libvirt 1.2.18 (-1 Arch) and QEMU git-master (2.4.0.r40384.2d69736). Installed using Q35 chipset. I'm running QEMU git, which allows SCSI controller migration, so I can attempt doing this. I started my guest, and waited for 15
