Bug in win32-api with void prototypes?
Hi all,
It seems that a void prototype requires an explicit argument in our
version of win32/api:
C:\>irb
irb(main):001:0> require ''win32/api''
=> true
irb(main):002:0> include Win32
=> Object
irb(main):003:0> require ''Win32API''
=> true
# Our version
irb(main):004:0> GetLastErrorA = API.new(''GetLastError'',

[LLVMdev] Problem invoking win32 api calls
Hi,
I use the kaliedoscope tutorial to do some experiments. I'm trying to define
a few win32 functions as extern and execute them from the toy language.
Functions that take no arguments execute fine (for example, GetLastError()).
However, calling functions that do take arguments (for example,
SetLastError(unsigned int)) always crash the application due to some kind of
stack corruption

debugging an app
I'm trying to debug a program that page faults on me, and I'm actually
quite keen to have a go at fixing it myself.
Unfortunately, I seem to have fallen at the first hurdle: I can't make
good use of the debug messages.
Background:
The program I am attempting to run is TrackLogs
( http://www.tracklogs.co.uk ). Installation went fine and on first run
I got the licence key dialogue,

EverQuest - worked once, but no more
I had a previous install on another computer with the following, and EQ worked perfectly there, with the following configuration:
Laptop: HP dv6355
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce Go 6150 (UMA)
Processor: AMD Turion 64 X2 (1.8 GHz)
Memory: 2 GB
OS: Ubuntu 8.04
Wine: 1.1.4
Unfortunately, the computer was formatted and given to someone else, so I can no longer compare the configurations or run any tests

[LLVMdev] [RFC] Identifying access to errno
Oh, and I forgot a third "_doserrno" for which no amount of documentation
lends itself to a consistent description of its behavior.

ASPI problem
Having gotten WinOnCD to start (though the installer fails (*.msi
file)) by copying the files and registry from a windows install, I now
have an ASPI problem. I am able to erase a cdrw from within winoncd
and most of winoncd works pretty much as it should (but no drag'n drop
works). Writing a CD does however not work yet and it appears to be a
winaspi problem:

problem mapping large files?
Hi all,
I'm trying to use Microsoft's ImageX with Wine as part of a small Linux
image to install Windows disk images.
It works great for a 120Mb file, however when I try it on a 2.3Gb file,
it fails with "Invalid data".
The tool is designed for dealing with large files, so it looks like a
problem in Wine.
I reran it with +server,+relay which included the following in the

win32-dir, unicode
Hi,
I''ve got a preliminary version of the pure Ruby version of win32-dir in
CVS. However, I was hoping to work out the Unicode issue. Run this:
from = "C:\\test"
to = "?????"
Dir.mkdir(from) unless File.exists?(from)
Dir.create_junction(to, from)
It works, but my explorer (and dos) window shows the name garbled. I
don''t think it''s a font

Need some ACL help for win32-file
Hi folks,
I''ve got most everything done for the pure Ruby version of win32-file.
The last thing left (since I''ll be moving the IO methods to a different
package eventually) is the file security stuff. Here''s what I''ve got so
far for the get_permissions method. However, I''m stuck at GetAce(). If
someone could help me finish up this method, I

Sony Digital Voice Editor
All,
I have been trying to get my Sony Digital Voice Editor software to run
with wine. (DVEdit.exe)
I've installed it with the latest version of code weavers (6.2) Standard
for Linux.
I've exported WINEDEBUG=+relay in order to see some detail and am
running it command line as follows:
wine --bottle dve --cx-log ~josepy/wineDVE/wineDebug.log --cx-app
DVEdit.exe --verbose
I get a window
