Wine and opengl error!!!
Hi all, I'm having trouble running windows games from Fedora 9, 64 bit, using wine rc3. I've tried Command & Conquer 3, Age Of Mythology and Jazz Jackrabbit 2. All games fail. I mostly get an error saying that direct3d9 won't work without opengl. However, I have opengl. I've run glxgears and it runs fine. Following is the output: 8877 frames in 5.0 seconds = 1775.333 FPS 9327

ATI (rv350) + open-source driver + wine gaming issues
Hello everyone. I seem to have a bit of a problem running some 3D accelerated games under wine, while using the open-source ATI Radeon driver. My graphics card is Radeon 9700, and the open-source drivers overall work much better than the proprietary fglrx. The fglrx driver allows me (in most cases) to run games like Temple of Elemental Evil (particularily) or Morrowind normally, but I can't

Wine and 3D rendering issues
Hi everyone, I hate to ask n00bish questions, but after several days of forum scouring and searching for answers, I'm at a loss as to where to go next. I'm a long-time Linux CLI user, but I haven't really played with Wine or many aspects of the GUI-end until recently. I've been trying to get two of my favorite Windows games to run on my Debian Testing install, and keep coming to

OpenGL test?
First off I just want to say thank you to all who contribute to wine, it is an awesome piece of software for the Linux community. I am trying to find a way to do a simple OpenGL test within Wine. I have looked all over but I can't seem to find anything. What is the easiest way to test OpenGL and ensure that it's working correctly? The reason I'm asking is this: I recently upgraded

reproducible CACHE_ERRORS
Hi I found a way to reliably reproduce PFIFO CACHE_ERRORS, but I don't see why. How to reproduce them: 1) Run a couple of glxinfo loops - 3 is usually enough. while [ true ]; do nvgl glxinfo >/dev/null 2>/dev/null; done 2) Run glxgears. 3) If you can't see it now, resize glxgears window or add more glxinfos. Note: you need at least 2 CPUs. Usually the error looks like this

Patch to fix latest mesa git undefined symbol
Hello, I decided to try nouveau tonight and I followed the install instructions. 2D worked fine (a bit slower than nv/vesa), so I tried out 3D. I was able to get glxgears to work (1000 fps on my nv15) only after I patched the mesa driver. Attached is the patch to nouveau_screen.c that adds a stub to resolve the undefined symbol that all GL programs threw. I discussed it briefly with herve
