Trying CUDA/OpenCL with VGA Passthrough
Hi everyone,
First post, already a call for help :)
I''m trying to use a gtx 580 with Xen 4 VGA Passthrough to test CUDA
performances, the MB is an Asus P7P55 LX with a i7 870, VT-D is enabled
in bios and reported as active by Xen.
I''m using Debian Squeeze as Dom0 and DomU OS.
Dom0 is configured with iommu=1 and iommu=verbose parameters and
xen-pciback.hide=(01:00.0)(01:00.1)

[PATCH v2 2/4] gpio: fail if gpu external power is missing
Please add a config override to skip this, since we'll invariably get
it wrong for some setup, and should be able to provide users with
workarounds while the issue is being worked out.

[PATCH envytools] nvbios: Fix reading of ram_restrict_group_count.
The entry offset was use instead of the data it points to. Probably a regression.
The files showing script parsing errors has been reduced from 410 to 6 with the database of 505 vbios.

[PATCH 0/2] drm/nouveau: Allow parsing vbios.rom with nvbios from debugfs
This is a small patch series that adds a strap_peek file into our
debugfs, and sets the size of the vbios.rom debugfs file so that nvbios
can easily be used to parse the vbios even on systems where the normal
BIOS retrieval methods (for example, laptops that need ACPI to access
the vbios for the nvidia GPU) won't work. This should make it a little
easier to collect vbioses.

Addressing the problem of noisy GPUs under Nouveau
Hello,
Some users have been complaining for years about their GPU sounding like
a jet engine at take off. Last year, I finally laid my hand on one of
these GPUs and have been trying to fix this issue on and off since then.
After failing to find anything in the HW, I figured out that the duty
cycle set by nvidia's proprietary driver would be way under the expected
value. By randomly changing

[RFC] nouveau: Add basic i2c sensor chip support
This adds basic support for driving sensor chips off the nvidia i2c buses,
along with basic support for reading the internal GPU sensor on supported
chipsets. It's heavily cribbed off nvclock. Having scanned a large number
of bioses, I'm pretty convinced that the appropriate i2c bus is always
number 2 in the list on <g80 - I'm not sure about later cards yet.
There's still a lot

[PATCH] acpi: allow non-optimus setups to load vbios from acpi
Hi, same for me. The screen does not freeze anymore and the boot
succeeds. But now I have this kernel message during boot (for the second
card):
[ 24.382045] pci_pm_runtime_suspend():
nouveau_pmops_runtime_suspend+0x0/0xe0 [nouveau] returns -22
Do you want to have the complete dmesg log? I think this is a new bug.
Your patch works for the previous one, so you can close it.
Yours,
Claas

nouveau module not loading
Hi!
I have a rather decent notebook (Toshiba Satellite P105-S9722) with
Nvidia GeForce Go 7900 GS video card. I installed latest debian system
with kernel 3.13-1-amd64 on it, but unfortunately nouveau driver doesn't
work. When I load nouveau module following messages will appear in syslog:

BIG changes to kernel module
Hey all,
I've just pushed a major rework/rewrite of the Nouveau kernel module to git[1].
Details of the whys and what-nots of the rework are in the various commit
messages. At this point don't expect any exciting cool functionality, the
work so far is merely a restructure to allow moving forward on a number
of fronts in the future.
I expect that for a while there will be a *lot* of
