Intel Displayport on Centos 7
As long as you have the DisplayPort connection on your computer and you
have the proper cable to connect it to the monitor then it's no trouble. I
had been using dual DP monitors on my last work machine. Also, note that
sometimes the PC end is normal DisplayPort but sometimes it has a mini
DisplayPort connection. Just get the right cable and it should be as
simple as HDMI.

DisplayPort output with intel graphics driver?
Hi.
We've installed CentOS 5.5 on a "mini PC" with an onboard Intel graphics
chip, which has both "VGA" and DisplayPort output. This works reasonably
well, except that I'd like to connect the monitor to the DisplayPort,
and I only seem to get a signal on the VGA connector. This is the case
even if I boot with the DisplayPort (only) connected, in which case

Problem with DisplayPort initialisation with 3.7-rc3 and recent git
Hi all,
This is really just a friendly nudge related to the bug I filed here:
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=56615.
Basically the problem is related to DisplayPort initialisation since
when I have an external monitor plugged into the DisplayPort then even X
on the in-built LCD fails to start. Reboot with the DisplayPort
unplugged and local X starts without a problem.

Activate DisplayPort
One of our embedded system uses GPU from NVIDIA GTX 765M. The system has
only
DisplayPort, nothing else like VGA, DVI or HDMI. The OS does not see the
DisplayPort when it looks for it. As a result, the OS gets loaded but the
monitor stays blank. If I disconnect the cable and reconnect then the
display
comes back. I've done some search and found that people blame the problem

those numbers seem wrong to me. nothing I've ever seen uses 17hz or
33hz refresh, its all pretty much 60Hz in LCD flat panel land.

Intel Displayport on Centos 7
Since my current monitor appears to be slowly dying, I'm looking for a
replacement. I generally use hardware replacement as an excuse to get
something bigger/better/faster than what I had before, so I'm currently
considering something like a BenQ GW2765HT.
The manual for my Intel motherboard has this to say about DisplayPort on
the built-in graphics controller:

Thanks!
I'm waiting to see if my current monitor actually dies. It's an Asus 1920x1200 monitor that I like rather a lot, but it occasionally acts a bit flaky when coming back out of sleep mode. (The screen fills with a white

getting a title in a plot during an lapply
In my code below tempa and tempb are numeric vectors that I combined
into a dataframe along with the deciles of tempa.
I have an lapply statement that goes through the dataframe and does ten
plots according to the appropriate decile.
The code is below and it works fine. There are no bugs so I figure there
was no need to include structure statements on the data.
Also, I don't want to use coplot

CH7007A (AKA CH7006) TV OUT Support for NV11 (NVidia GeForce2 Go Dell I8K Laptop)
After analyzing verbose nouveau & drm dmesg, I have found seemingly no more
useful details pertaining to having no TV-1 device. The TV-1 device might be
getting lost within DRM, by setting the TV-1 (SVIDEO, Composite) device into
DPMS mode or Full Power Down mode, and the ch7006 datasheet does say in this
mode, all but the i2c circuits are disabled! Looking at
